Seth Rollins Injured
November 5, 2015
Dublin, Ireland
Breaking news coming from WWE this afternoon, as it has been revealed that the injury Seth Rollins suffered last night in Dublin at a WWE Live Event will keep the WWE World Heavyweight Champion out of action well into 2016. The injury, an ACL and MCL tear in Rollins’ right knee, occurred in a main event against Kane on the first night of WWE’s current tour of the Europe. Rollins is expected out 6-9 months, although similar injuries have kept other professional athletes out even longer. With Rollins’ style in the ring, we could be looking at an absence much closer to the 9 months than the shorter possibility.

With Seth Rollins injured, WWE has announced that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be vacated. Seth Rollins was scheduled to defend the title against Roman Reigns in the main event of WWE Survivor Series, but now, that plan is out of the window. Instead, WWE will be announcing details of a championship tournament, with the winner to be crowned as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Survivor Series.
Friends of Seth Rollins immediately took to Twitter to voice their encouragement of Rollins.
They can take the belt, but being a champ means much more than some shiny object. @WWERollins has always been & will always be a champion.

Get well soon @WWERollins ???

How can we survive 9 months without Seth Rollins?

Rollins injury unfortunate, but…
Imagine Reigns vs Owens, Ambrose vs Seamus, then Reigns vs Ambrose for title…
All in one show.

The best thing WWE has going, and he's out for 6-9 months. It's like the heel version of Bryan going down. Kane is a jinx. #SethRollins #WWE
