WrestleMania Weekend 2025 Event Schedule & Map

I think women’s wrestling on the independents is in a very interesting place in the U.S. The lack of a SHIMMER, coupled with NWA, TNA, AEW, and WWE all competing for talent, has led to the indies lacking any really notable women’s stars. That said, the talent is there. We’re far enough away from Sasha Banks vs. Bayley and the rise of streaming services that there’s a wave of wrestlers who were inspired by Banks and companies like STARDOM and Sendai Girls.

To me, a show like this is one to watch as a scouting mission. I’m going in with a fresh mind, ready to be wowed by the new wave of women’s wrestlers trying to make their mark on the industry.

The One To Watch

I’m honestly surprised they packed so much talent into one match, but Maya World vs. Brooke Havok vs. Jada Stone is sure to be a show-stealer. Maya and Stone tag team pretty regularly and have wrestled a lot, so their chemistry is off the charts. The mix between Stone’s athletic, high-flying style and World’s more grounded base is very natural for good wrestling.

They’ve added the talented Brooke Havok. Havok looked like she was primed for a spot in AEW before an injury stalled her career, but she has a bright future. Getting her in there with Maya World and Jada Stone will be a good way to see just how good she is.

More to Look Out For

Kiah Dream is someone I’ll be interested in during this tournament. In my eyes, she’s got a lot of potential and is familiar with a number of the other competitors in this tournament. She used to team with Maya World and has feuded with her, in addition, she and Jazim Allure have wrestled a few times.

Depending on how this tournament shakes out, she could have strong matches with familiar opponents that let her finally stamp her mark on the independent scene. If it were me, I’d put her vs. Maya World in the final and just let them loose.

Zayda Steel is also someone to keep an eye on if you’re new. The WWE ID member had a solid tour in Japan late last year in Marigold, where she didn’t look out of place with the Japanese talent at all. She’s got a match with some relative unknowns here too but if she makes it to the final I would love to see what she and Jada Stone could do in the ring together.
