Re: WWE NXT 2019 (USA Network debut on 9/18)
Great show this week, after another very solid outing last week. Interesting they put the belts back on UE after a short run by the Street Profits. Does anyone know if there is someone in particular who agents these Tag matches? IMO the only thing that consistently delivers more than NXT tags are NJPW main events.

They should have premiered on USA with this episode.
Every single person looked like absolute superstars. Io, Keith Lee, Dijak, Gargano, Shayna, Rhea, Profits, UE...crowd was MOLTEN for everything and everything was a homerun.
Its a top five episode of the brand, all time...would not fight you if you said #1. It might be.

I think Takeover Cardiff really exceeded expectations WALTER vs Bate was amazing and while the night isn't over I think it will be my match of the weekend

Takeover Cardiff SLAPPED. Best WWE show of the year. The first 3 matches were all 4+ with the Cesaro match probably close to 4.75 and then I went full 5 on the main. It's between that and Shingo/Osprey for MOTY rn.

I think the Takeover NY show was overall better, but the main event was definitely right up there with Shingo/Ospreay for MOTY.ThommyGunn wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2019 7:13 pmTakeover Cardiff SLAPPED. WALTER vs Bate didn't even feel like a WWE match under any umbrella... it was a fucking amazing match. Just two guys going out and putting on some of their best work in both of their catalogs.

4.75?! Man i did not get that vibe. I went ***1/2. Enjoyable but that Ilja is far too much of a try hard

I could probably be convinced I went too high on the opener and the Cesaro match, but I freaking LOVED the Cesaro match.

So, I really liked the match...but it was one of those ones that felt like it legitimately hit five stars about twenty minutes in...but then went another twenty and just slowly declined in quality from there. The back end of that match felt too much and I'm a guy that really appreciates too much.John The Drummer wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 4:42 amWALTER vs Bate didn't even feel like a WWE match under any umbrella... it was a fucking amazing match. Felt like a sendoff for British Strong Style. Much needed for them, to be honest. Pete Dunne moving to NXT as NXT is on TV is great for his prospects. He is going with the "if I gotta start at the bottom..." gimmick, so he'll legitimately be fresh to - in theory - a larger portion of the WWE audience now on NXT.
Trent Seven and Tyler Bate got their "written out of the territory" matches to WALTER and it seems time for they, too, to move on. NXT seems a bit like a retread for them as a tag team, but it seems bringing them back to NXT for the launch of the brand on USA would be wise. Hell...I'd open up on National TV with 30 minutes of Undisputed Era versus Mustache Mountain.

Fightful speculates that starting next year, Takeover will be used to undermine AEW PPVs.
