205 Live Thread
Re: 205 Live Thread
205 Live is starting to overtake NXT for me.

Lio Rush coming to 205!
I was wondering where he'd end up. NXT seems a bit full at the moment. The main roster would completely misuse him... 205 is by far the best place for him.

I wonder what the deal is with this TJP storyline. It could end up being nothing for all I know, but it will be interesting to see if they do move him to another brand. That will show that 205 Live will be like another NXT where talents eventually get moved, rather than being this separate universe that wrestlers won't be able to escape.

Is the KENTA we fell in love with during the 2000s back now?

Re: 205 Live Thread
If only this turned into them merging it with NXT and making NXT a two hour show.

Re: 205 Live Thread
so, to summarize
* the 205 GM is now also a manager of a lower midcard heel tag team
* the newest addition to the roster might also be doubling a manager?
* whatever's happening with Gulak showing up in the heel group at Raw
(yes, I know RAW is the 205 brand but the 205s were previously separated from the rest of the roster when they were on Raw.)
* the show is being to a new date & time and no one seems immediately clear on when it'll be taped. It is said to be a temporary change, though so was Young replacing Coachman and that became permanent.
Nothing about this critically damages 205 - I think even the timeslot change is a closer to a lateral move than a downgrade (and a possible upgrade if it eventually ends up being a Full Sail show like everyone wanted from the start.) But it does seem to continue the sense that 205 is near the lowest priority production WWE does. I don't think it's going away, because it exists to help WWE employ people who might be helpful to other promotions if available and that's still useful to WWE, but it all of this still feels ominous.

The 4 way elimination match yesterday was super fun. Cedric and Rush in tights feels weird though.

I was there live, and I am not gonna lie, that match had A LOT of dead air that kinda took out a lot of the energy. But overall it was really solid.COMRADEJERICHO wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 4:41 pmThe 4 way elimination match yesterday was super fun. Cedric and Rush in tights feels weird though.

Re: 205 Live Thread
Just finished watching the latest episode of 205 LIVE. The highlight of this show was WWE referencing King of Cruiserweights after a long time.

I hope no newcomers are instantly punished by being placed into this kiddy pool.

Re: 205 Live Thread
Tournament continues next week with Cedric Alexander Vs Akira Tozawa & Humberto Carillo Vs Oney Lorcan from NXT.
Re: 205 Live Thread
Nese/Alexander was a killer final. Probably the only 4+ star match in the tournament and one of the best matches so far this year.
