"Shane Thorne of TM-61 defeated Roderick Strong at last night's WWE NXT live event in San Jose to advance his team in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

The match was supposed to be Austin Aries and Strong vs. TM-61 but Aries suffered the injury at Thursday's live event. NXT General Manager William Regal made Strong vs. Thorne last night in San Jose."

Well, my pick for TM61 to upset the AOP lives on. This tournament has been made really janky via two injuries and a worked forfeit. I just hope when all is said and done the win feels meaningful for whomever is crowned. It may not if the tournament is filled with asterisks.

I saw that match live before Takeover Brooklyn, it was decent, but neither team is over at all.

Dusty matches: TM61 vs. Sanity and DIY vs. Authors of Pain, neither were great, the former full of botches the latter was at least solid. The booking for the tourney is....baffling?

Enjoyed the women's tag (Asuka/Ember vs. Peyton/Billie).
