Re: Let's bury the World Wrestling Federation....
Can they legally do that to Danielson? Why can't he just quit and sit out?
Who's Rob Viper ?

Re: Daniel Bryan Announces Retirement
No way it's a work. Typically retirement angles are treated as rumors or feature WWE asking if this is the end pf the road. I think that they're using their social media to report that his retirement is being announced tonight makes it as close to a certainty as you can get.

Closure is a good thing. Even if others agree that he could wrestle, it doesn't mean that he should. And hopefully he will find success in whatever comes next.
His match with Nigel at Unified got me into ROH and I saw his match with Morishima live and was blown away. He added on to the changes that Punk brought about regarding who could be a true star in WWE and surpassed it by main eventing Mania.
He had a great career; now let's hope he enjoys his life.

Will probably take a while to set in but this is kind of an end to a certain era and an era that was most formative to me as a smart fan. Sinclair buying ROH, CM Punk retiring from Pro Wrestling and now this.
Also this has been such a slowly evolving story that it isn't as much of a shock as Edge's retirement was. Has been an inevitably for nearly a year.

Re: BRYAN DANIELSON HAS RETIRED
To me this is the perfect track for reflection. Keep in mind I'm also dealing with Marshawn Lynch hanging it up too.

I did have a hope that Bryan would pull a punk and tell the WWE to go do one and go to NJPW but it seems like it was not to be, Bryan just is not like that.

Re: BRYAN DANIELSON HAS RETIRED
Well this really took the wind out of my sails. Bryan is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time and played a major part in me being as big of a Ring of Honor fan as I was as a teenager. I'll always be happy he got his moment closing out WrestleMania XXX as the World Champion, but my fondest memories of his work will always be the matches with Nigel and KENTA.
Re: BRYAN DANIELSON HAS RETIRED
Disappointed, relieved, all of the above...
I'm gonna go watch Bryan Danielson vs The World now.

Re: BRYAN DANIELSON HAS RETIRED
I've heard things that are impossible to confirm but I can't say this more strongly his retirement tweet didn't specify what or where he's retiring from. This is the age of “hurt not injured" type semantic games. Always remember that. Personally would rather him not wrestle again but he eventually may again and elsewhere.
