Rumble Rewatch Project

Post by mlev76 » Wed Dec 21, 2016 6:33 pm

With the 30th annual Royal Rumble coming up in slightly more than a month, I was contemplating watching all 29 of the previous matches leading up to this year's shebang. I wanted to see if there are any like minded individuals interested in doing the same and discussing key points of each match. I may end up doing this even if there is no interest, but the more the merrier obviously.

I don't know if I can commit to watching every one, but I do love to watch the big PPVs from whatever month it is from the past. Like I'm watching Starrcades and the WWF December ones. So I'll definitely jump in every now and then for sure - especially for 1988-94.

My plan as of now is to start writing about the matches right after the first of the year. I will likely watch a few on my vacation, so anyone else looking to watch and comment along can expect discussions of at least 88-94 come new years.

Happy New Year everyone! Just posted the 1988 review/discussion in the main forum section and am looking to have 1989 up later today. Expect one a day up to the 2017 Rumble on the 29th.

Almost done with the 2015 Rumble and having watch 28 of 29 Rumbles over the past month, I can safely say eliminating Daniel Bryan as early as they did in the 2015 Rumble is without a doubt the biggest what the fuck moment in Rumble history. May keep that crown for a very long time.
