Started as a junior but quickly turned into a lumpy heavyweight. Lazy Sano had about two moves-if you intend to watch house show tag you better like Rolling Savate Kicks a lot. I do, so even the "worst" Sano performances can often be endearing to me. His style is very straightforward in its brutality-I remember really enjoyng his mini-feud with KENTA where he constantly punked him.

Absolutely makes my ballot, probably ends up in the high 30's/lower 40's but he is on there. Would rec the 2/20/04 6 man tag with him, Taue and Makoto Hashi vs Kobashi, Honda and KENTA it is real good stuff.

He will make my ballot as well. One of my favorite guys from the 90's-00's that doesn't get enough love but when mixed in the upper mid card he delivered and he also was a key cog in making tag matches and six mans interesting.

So much go away heat. I could never stand Sano. There was a period in the late aughts where he, Saito, Inoue, and a few others were no longer being pushed at all and were just slumming it up having the laziest undercard matches ever, souring me on all of them forever. I was never a big Sano guy at his peak anyway. If people post some of their favorite stuff, I'm open to watching it objectively many years removed.
