Recommended bouts:
w/Misawa vs Hashimoto & Otsuka 1/13/2001
vs Takayama 9/7/2002
vs Misawa 12/7/2002
vs Kobashi 11/1/2003
w/Misawa vs KENTA & Marufuji 4/25/2004
vs Rikio 3/5/2006

A rare combination of a wrestler uncommonly respected by his peers for his professionality and someone who connects with fans of fine taste. Managed to create a unique character who used absolutely safe offence in a promotion based on brutal and unsafe offence and be a believable threat to much larger opponents. One of the first wrestlers I'd recommend to someone interested in learning how to work.

Not only that, he's still going, and at a reasonably high level. And this despite the unfortunate broken neck from Bison Smith several years back.
