Good show. Sydal vs. Ospreay is obviously very great. I need to start watching on a regular basis.

Every York Hall show (usually three a year) is a must see, and they'll occasionally have a great match on their Youtube show, but other than that it's mainly skippable unfortunately.

Hell yes! Basically confirms TenKoji, Naito & KUSHIDA for Uprising as well. Can't wait!

Really good opening segment between Havoc and the Revolutionists this week. Really wish they'd have had the volume from the mic a bit louder or the crowd a bit quieter, because it was kind of hard to hear what they were saying at times. Still, great stuff.

Anderson & Gallows added to Global Wars UK. Couldn't care less. Gallows bores me to tears, and Anderson was clearly phoning it in on his last UK tour.

Doug Williams vs. Jonny Storm ***1/2
A very British match from two veterans of the British scene with a combined age of about 80. They went out there and wrestled an incredibly smart match, and it was great. Well worth taking fifteen minutes out of your day to watch that.

A very good episode this week, well worth a watch.

It being a Friday unfortunately probably not. It's still up in the air for me, but by the time I find out it'll probably be sold out. Still a possibility though.

I'm definitely picking up tickets for the following day's Global Wars UK though.

Tickets for Global Wars UK go on sale tomorrow, how many of you guys are going? There's going to be a handful of VoW contributors there, and we'd love to see you there.

So this is a thing that I'm going to be seeing live. I'm hype as fuck.

This will likely be IWGP Heaveyweight Champion vs. RPW Undisputed British Champion too.

RevPro TV #17 Thoughts

Hmm, not quite sure I liked the opening segment. Having a comedy heel beating down on a woman and degrading women's wrestling just didn't feel quite right to me. It's a heel, so in some ways it's kind of a round about way of saying "women's wrestling is great" by having a heel say "women's wrestling is awful", but I think they're treading on some shaky territory that they would probably be wiser to avoid.

Soooo much studio talking.

Psycho Phillips vs. Jake McCluskey

Eh, this was solid, but nothing great. Crowd is starting to turn on McCluskey, in 2015 a moonsault isn't the most amazing of moves and when your building your entire persona around just a moonsault you're going to have problems getting over as a face. I think he'd be better used in a tag team right now.

Completely skippable episode.

RevPro TV #18

Styles-Liger is added to Global Wars UK, adding to the already announced Scurll-Tanahashi and Ospreay-Okada.

Will Ospreay vs. Marty Scurll
This is two thirds of the Uprising main event, which will see AJ Styles and his Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship added to the mix. This was great stuff, some of the sequences here were just mindblowing in their flow and innovation. Both guys really brought it to a high level. It did at times feel a tad indyriffic, there were a lot of kickouts of big moves and there were one or two no-sells that had me biting my lip, but you should still 100% go watch this match. You won't regret it. ***3/4

AJ Styles vs. Jushin "Thunder" Liger has been announced for the 10/3 show.

I'm really looking forward to these RPW/New Japan shows in October. They seem like a ton of fun!

So this is a match that made me buy a ticket to this event on the off chance I can make it. I'm praying it sells out now so I can resell if needs be.

So this card already:

Undisputed British Championship: Marty Scurll vs. AJ Styles (c) vs. Will Ospreay

Big Damo vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Gedo & Kazuchika Okada v Jushin Liger & Hiroshi Tanahashi

No DQ: Josh Bodom vs Jimmy Havoc

Kushida vs Kyle O’Reilly

+ ACH and perhaps Naito & TenKoji
