Tanaka/Hayato was a bunch of fun. Exactly what I wanted in a match between those two. A real shame that Hayato is out of the rest of the tournament.

Zero1 has to be the most unlucky promotion I can think of. What a shame Jr. can't go on. Hopefully he can come back in for a few shows when he's healthy.

He got eliminated in the second round of their junior tournament if I remember right.

Tanaka/Sekimoto should be a great semi final on Sunday. As much as I want Tanaka to make it to the final again, I think Sekimoto will get the pass this time. I expect it to be a very good match, considering the display Tanaka has been putting on this year. What does everyone think?

So I asked Tharpe on twitter if Zero1 was still the NWA territory of Japan (Which they are listed as on twitter). He answered with that it is but they are busy working with New Japan. We'll see how he answers my follow up question on shouldn't the NWA actually work with the company that are their Japanese brand. If he even answers that is.

Edit: Now he's claiming that they are only working with New Japan. Better explain why Zero1 are still affiliated with them then. Poor Otani waiting for that Tenzan appearance that will never come.

Edit edit: Apparently they terminated the relationship when Tharpe took over (logical enough) and the internet just never caught on since it wasn't something played up on either end.

Oh, the internet caught on, but ZERO1 is just not something a lot of people care about. ;)

The NWA titles they have aren't referred to as National Wrestling Alliance titles anymore, but since 2012 NWA stands for "New Wrestling Alliance".

Must have been why Jason New changed his name.

So this happened. Let's see if Otani can book this better than Kondo.

And on top of that awesomeness Kanemoto vs. Hidaka is coming up. Those two things alone have convinced me Zero1 is my secret favorite company currently.

I wish there were more Zero1 shows released. I've enjoyed all the shows I've seen from them this year.

They packed Korakuen for the New Year show! And the top 3 matches on the show look awesome. And there are Samurai TV cameras in the live pictures. So deserved and happy for this underrated bunch. Can't wait to see this make it online.

Otani/Takaiwa/Kanemoto vs. Hidaka/Yankee Nichokenju
Sekimoto/Sato vs. Ryouji Sai/Okabayashi
Zero1 World Heavyweight Title: Masato Tanaka vs. Hideki Suzuki

I'm all about this.
