Not that I'd complain about the actual match itself, because it'd be a hell of a match

Ibushi would be monumentally stupid.

If it's not Tana, then it's probably Elgin.

Well, I dunno about his current situation in Japan or whether he will be wrestling for W-1 and such, but isn't Seiya Sanada an option to face Omega? It sounds super far fetched, but it could be an surprise entrant into the NJ Roster.

I'm sure someone can find out but I don't remember the last Japanese guy that wasn't from NOAH or Mutoh to show up in New Japan. It's not something that's happened under Bushiroad so I wouldn't expect it.

Masato Tanaka who is aligned with Zero1/FMW. But maybe he doesn't count due to his work in NOAH

Sanada isn't a big enough deal for that spot anyway.

Or it could be Tomohiro Ishii. Seems like a good win for Omega.

Doesn't Ishii have a rematch with Shibata?

That's the night before, but I don't think they'd do it anyway

I'm almost certain Tanaka wasn't working NOAH while he was in New Japan.

I very much think Ishii will be catching another PK to the chest as well so that won't work out. The build for the match is that Shibata won't feel like the champ or that the belt is his until he defends it soooooo.........

And yeah Tanaka but that was more of a left over thing from the NEVER stuff. Outside of them I don't know. They really stick to their own dojo guys and as Joe said - Sanada isn't a big deal.

He was working NJPW regularly from Wrestle Kingdom II in 2008 (actually a house show a week or two before that at the end of 2007) until the end of the World Tag League tour in 2013, didn't start NOAH until early 2014: http://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=928&page=20

Bet they wish they had someone better than Jado win the Rambo, it'd be easy to have Omega beat a veteran like Kojima or something.

The NJPW English site has Okada vs Tanahashi as the Main Event of this show. Typo, right?
