Watching finals day made me realise what house show calibre efforts we were getting on the NicoPro shows. There was still some really good stuff on there of course, but it's clear this tour is far from a G1 style "go balls out every night" kind of deal. Which I guess really would be ridiculous to expect given they're performing for crowds of 300-400 on most nights.

I think the best matches of the NicoPro airings were Sai/Kamitani, Miyahara/Nomura, Miyahara/Akiyama, Akiyama/Sekimoto. I really liked the SUSHI/Yohei/Zeus vs. Akiyama/Ultimo/Aoyagi match from 4/22 too, but some of that might just be the AJPW/NOAH-style 6 man tag being a style I mark for.

Finals day is very watchable in full. Mashimo/Super Tiger is the only match I'd call truly skipworthy.

We have Seki, Kengo and Akiyama as clear contenders out of the A block. As well as guys like Sai and Zeus with strong showings in block B who could get a shot.

I'm leaning towards Kengo myself.
It's Sekimoto.

Miyahara/Sekimoto was confirmed for 5/25 Korakuen if twitter translations are accurate (lmao)

Btw, if you've got 10 minutes Akiyama/Super Tiger vs. Aoki/Nomura from before the carnival is worth watching. The match is fun, but Akiyama getting pissy with Nomura is spectacular. Guaranteed dosage of grumpy Akiyama:

Yeah, saw it when you posted it on Twitter.

Honestly thought they'd save Sekimoto for sometime this summer. But It is logical that the winner of the CC gets the next challenge.

That's a strong card overall

Yeah I noticed they had on the cover of Weekly Pro that he was getting the shot on the 5/25 card but had forgot to tweet it out. Miyahara said he's ready to defend All Japan against the outsider. The usual that a champ says.

I know for a fact All Japan announced that Takeda and Maruyama will be on this show as well. Aoki doesn't have a match yet either. Hopefully we get a cool tag and they set up Takeda vs Aoki like they teased.

They teased GAORA title matches for both Kaz Tamura and HUB on the previous tour too but I guess those are probably waiting for later since Nakajima is probably one of the AJ Rangers. The HUB one probably in Osaka and the Tamura one wherever the hell HEAT UP's base of operations is?

Good addition to the Asia tag belt scene. And I guess one on one they could be challengers for either junior or TV titles in the future
