Night One is a super fun show. Almost every match I could see someone pointing out as their favorite on the show. The I Quit match was a bit disappointing considering how much I like both guys. Marty never really felt "menacing" to me through the course of it and the finish look extremely awkward. The work was fine and I liked Marty's trash talk on the mic throughout, but it didn't reel me in as much as I wanted it to.

Yeah, I was also disappointed by the main event, but a good show overall. The one-sided violence, pause, hold the mic up to the guy's face, repeat formula just leaves me a little cold. ZSJ/Big Daddy Walter was my match of the night, though Ospreay/Strickland is really good once it gets going.

Night 2 - the best night of wrestling I've seen live in a pretty long time - is up now on Vimeo.

A look at Zack Sabre Jr. during the weekend, with comments from a few other guys on the shows.

call me bias but the production of these shows is Grade A, first class. I'm bowled over by how well the footage comes off on the VOD. These are MUST BUY shows

Production on these shows is incredible. The building looks outstanding. Alan and his partner are awesome on commentary.

ZSJ vs. Big Daddy Walter was so different than what ZSJ has been doing lately. This wasn't "his" kind of match. He was the plucky underdog in this situation. I absolutely loved this match, the finish, and Walter snapping after the match. ****1/2 from me. It's what I want from both guys. Walter needs to get back to Big Japan ASAP.

I've been a huge critic of Shane Strickland - he's never done a thing for me, but I thought he looked great vs. Ospreay. I don't think I'm as high on either guy as most people are (Ospreay is amazing, I just don't look at him as an upper tier talent) but they delivered big this time around. Loved it. ****1/4

The boys got stuck on the autobahn on the way to today's show, and Jakobi posted a fun video on Facebook of Walter beating up some fool on the road.

New matches announced for Hamburg. Jeff Jarett is probably the last person I expected to see live this year. On the other I am very excited to see Zack Sabre Jr. live. Him vs Bobby Gunns could be a lot of fun, Gunns has a lot of upside and he is really starting to find himself.
