It'd make sense for 5Star to co-opt some of WCPW's staff since while those guys are not veteran promoters, they sure have more experience than 5Star does. With the staff changes, maybe 5Star will work with What Culture but not these guys.

Satin reported the some of the guys did start their own company. Who knows whether they plan on getting into the promoting game with this new venture, though. (Could just be a new website/youtube with wrestling content.)

Guess we need to rename this thread Defiant Wrestling.

Or we could name it What Culture THE DEFIANT ala IMPACT and NOAH....

Just as well WCPW/Defiant aren't tainted with this anymore - Adam Blampied released a statement last night saying he was taking a leave of absence from his new Cultaholics project because he was harassing women on social media and coercing them into sending him topless photos, pretty much abusing his position while at WCPW/WhatCulture. It became clear he confessed to it because one of his victims shortly afterwards came public with what he had done to her and several other women. It's all got very nasty on social media since this came out, and it's exposed several nasty people who have come out on his side in the whole affair. There shouldn't be room in any avenue of sport, entertainment or whatever for creeps like him who disrespect their public.

WCPW/Defiant have announced their first foray into Birmingham, on 5th December at the Academy. It's PROGRESS' venue when they're here, although ICW were the first to run both the main room and smaller Academy 2 three times prior. It's a good venue, and it'll be interesting to see what business it does on a tuesday.

The new logo looks like the Gatorade logo a bit, wouldn't be surprised if they got a letter in the post...

So, I've been watching the weekly shows. Seems like they're going with a Defiant/IPW:UK feud and they did a Nexus retread to kick it off, with IPW being lead by Aries as Defiant Champion but who didn't sign his contract. It is all a bit 2010 WWE, but the Nexus 'homage' at least makes sense because Barrett is the GM. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if it all turns out to be a swerve and he's in on it.

The shows are watchable and as commentary teams go, I think Bradshaw and Kennedy are good, which certainly helps. It does feel over-booked at times though, a fair few sports entertainment finishes, if that's not your thing.

The highlight so far had probably been Zack Gibson showing up and calling people bellends.
