WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)/Defiant Wrestling Thread
Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)
Although Mark Davis was previously said to be in the ROW section, the first two officially announced are Travis Banks (New Zealand) and Icarus (Hungary) (not the one from CHIKARA).
Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)
The matches for the Japanese and German qualifiers for the PWWC have been announced:
World Cup Germany
Qualifier Matches
Bad Bones vs. Pascal Splater
Juvenile-X vs. Lucky Kid
Da Mack vs. Tarkan Aslan
Crazy Sexy Mike vs. Cash Money Erkan
Other Matches
WCPW Title Match: Joe Hendry vs. Primate
Internet Title Match: Gabriel Kidd vs. Joe Coffey
Alex Gracie vs. Kenny Williams
World Cup Japan
Qualifier Matches
KUSHIDA vs. Sho Tanaka
Tiger Mask vs. BUSHI
Yohei Komatsu vs. Hiromu Takahashi
Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Jushin Thunder Liger
Other Matches
Tag Team Title Match: The Swords of Essex - Will Osprey & Scotty Wainwright vs. War Machine - Raymond Rowe & Hanson
Rampage vs. Tomohiro Ishii
Kyle O'Reilly vs. Marty Scurll
I've been watching all these World Cup shows and they're decent so far (the Scottish Qualifier was a littler lower in quality, but it too was fine). The Japanese bracket is probably going to be the best show in the entire tournament and I am excited to see it.

Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)
Wasn't into any of the qualifiers so far (not watched the Canadian one but the rest were pretty unimpressive). If the Japan one underdelivers I'll be shocked, but at least the RevPro J Cup show will lift the weekend up a bit.
Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)
Mark Davis has now been confirmed for the ROW qualifiers, along with "Flash" Morgan Webster.
Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)
Cody Rhodes has had to pull out of the US qualifiers, Keith Lee is taking his place.
Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)
RJ Singh and Jurn Simmons added to the ROW Qualifiers.
Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)
Both Crazy Sexy Mike and Tarkan Aslan (Aslan suffering from a lung infection) pulled out of the German Qualifier. They were replaced by Rambo and Cem Kaplan.

Main event here felt like one of the weakest Ishii singles matches I've seen this year. It's ok, but huge gulf in quality between this and the match with Riddle at RevPro.BackLash wrote:
The Takahashi v Taguchi match did not compare to their match at the NJPW Anniversary show, the main story of the match seemed to be based around Takahashi pulling Taguchi's tights down and exposing the Funky Weapon.
Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)
Loaded is coming back - it will be on Thursdays from August 3rd on WhatCulture Extra, Fridays (from the 4th) on Twitch, and Saturdays (from the 5th) on YouTube, at 8pm all three nights. They've been taping content for the shows over the recent World Cup shows.
Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)
Apparently wrestling content is now acceptable again for Youtube's ad practices. Will be worth checking if the companies affected by the blackout get to recover from it.
Edit: Eh, doesn't look like anything's changed. Maybe WCPW thought to hell with it and are continuing on with the show anyway.

Edit: Came here to say that indeed nothing has changed but they are just going to push through it. A ton of their views are still not eligible for monetization.JamieOD wrote:Apparently wrestling content is now acceptable again for Youtube's ad practices. Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)
I think that they're releasing Loaded first to the general public on Twitch a day before they upload it to YouTube. Now that Twitch is allowing wrestling content, I think it's looked at as the great hope for a replacement service for YouTube.
