Match Madness FINAL: [3] Kevin Owens vs [2] Shinsuke Nakamura

Post by Rob McCarron » Mon Apr 18, 2016 4:31 pm

It's down to the championship game~! Kevin Owens comes out of the Ric Flair Region as the #3 seed, as he takes on the Brian Pillman Regional champion and #2 seed, Shinsuke Nakamura.

Amazingly, NJPW seemed to be destined for big representation in the Final Four, but it's two WWE wrestlers making it to the Finals. Sure, Nakamura's famous from his run in NJPW, but as an NXT star now he will battle a current WWE main roster star in Kevin Owens.

You decide the first annual Match Madness champion now! Voting ends Thursday so get those votes in early!

I went with Owens. I think he's the more consistent in ring even on tag and six men that Nak would take off. Both are bomb though.

Nakamura and it is not even close. While Owens is a great worker he didn't really have any matches since the first Cena match and the Balor match that have really caught my eye. Maybe it's because I do not watch WWE regularly enough, but I also don't remember any of his recent matches catching any kind of major buzz. Nakamura while he can be a bit inconsistent like always has delivered some absolutely great matches over the last year.
