Most Underrated

Post by mlev76 » Sat Dec 05, 2015 11:51 pm

I see this category as quite possibly a very easy win for Cesaro, but after seeing Evolve 51, I have to wonder if TJ Perkins deserves more support? It seems like every year, he has good to great matches, but never gets pushed above a certain level by any American promotions, big or small.

Is there a reason for this?

Is Bayley a candidate given she is a developmental or is NXT not developmental at all anymore?

Will hammer out a ballot soon but it has to be Cesaro or Banks.

Bayley is a candidate, but I don't see how she wins this year. Last year you may have had a point, but now she's being pushed perfectly IMO.

Can totally see Shibata as an option, but yeah Cesaro is gonna go full Shelton Benjamin this year,

Mascara Dorada seems about as deserving as Cesaro

if you're going to pick a woman on the WWE roster, Emma would be a more deserving choice imo

I think Jimmy Rave is pretty much a lock for me, you could easily argue he's one of the 10-20 best in the WORLD and nobody major seems to look at him

Cesaro at least has main event level TV matches and is given opportunity to do that.

How he didn't get more then 2 non-Super Junior single matches in beyond me. Complete waste. Hell I would have been down for some sort of Dorada/Liger or Dorada/Taguchi tag title match.

My pick is Cyber Kong, who is in my opinion an extremly underated wrestler (both by fans and within DG itself)

Honestly Wade Barrett is a very solid pick when you consider where he was before the injury

I'm also throwing The Miz in here, and i will do that every year. Miz is one of the most underrated performers of all time. He's average in the ring, but one of the most charismatic wrestlers of all time. He's the PERFECT heel for any company. Look how he stays over enough as a credible threat in the midcard, even though he's lost a million feuds the past few years. Miz has elevated more superstars than any other midcarder in the last many years. If i were to build a company with an unlimited budget, Miz would easily be one of the first i'd try and pick up for that roster.

Oh yeah, that's right. I was trying to say that the general fan doesn't value him as high, as what he deserves to be valued. WWE probably uses him exactly as they should. I got my award criteria mixed up.
