So like you, us, and pretty much everyone around here has been saying for like two years, WWE developmental now needs developmental. Re: WWE NXT 2016
Details will hopefully be in the Observer but NXT is going under a major rethink/crisis of confidence. They are acutely aware of the complaints about the product and there's people in NXT who think the low drawing touring is hurting the brand.
Shawn Michaels has meant largely nothing as trainer. Not a Dusty Rhodes replacement. They might be in the process of bringing another paternalistic figure on board.
Common sense and simple numbers but there's fears of releases early in the new year. They've a lot of trainees not working out due to either injuries or lack of progression.

The whole roster isn't deep enough for 3 brands. Rape and pillage NXT for the main roster and return to actual developmental. Fire the scrubs that were brought back this summer to make room for Joe, Nakamura, Revival, etc.

Re: WWE NXT 2016
Observer:
While they haven’t made an official offer (or at least hadn’t as of last week), WWE is more open to Matt Riddle than a few months ago. Everyone knows he’s one of the best prospects to come along in the sense not many in modern history have ever gotten so good in so few matches. Riddle is under contract to Evolve, but that means nothing as Evolve’s policy is always to release guys if WWE wants them. I have no idea why New Japan doesn’t go after him now although it probably is inevitable than he’ll be in WWE and probably a major star, at some point.

Really enjoyed #DIY vs. Tajiri & Tozawa from this week's Osaka special - Lorcan vs. Almas was fun too.
Re: WWE NXT 2016
Second that, was really surprised how much they gave Tozawa in that match. I think he's a really special talent and it seems they know what they have on their hands with him.themib wrote:Really enjoyed #DIY vs. Tajiri & Tozawa from this week's Osaka special - Lorcan vs. Almas was fun too.

Well this is sad. Savoy probably would be reporting to NXT this week but she blew out her knee at tryouts:

" look forward to charging into 2017 stronger and better than ever." doesn't indicate that.
