There's some pretty innovative storylines on NXT. Liv Morgan runs through a couple of people in the traditional hot streak before a title match, building her up, only for a subversion to come in a total Asuka destruction within a matter of minutes.

+1 on Mandy Rose. Very, very impressed.

So many of these ersatz tag teams look so good - it challenges my prediction that the actual tag teams will fare much better this year, and win it. Challenges, but I still maintain.

I think Ember made her look her best, but I still think she looked fantastic for her level. I don't want to repeat my write-up, but she looked damn good in every aspect of her performance. And until then hasn't she only done that new girl tag a few weeks back?

Hope that performance leapfrogs her in the pecking order, becuase I think she's shown a lot more then Kay, Royce, or Morgan so far.

Speaking of that new girl tag, it included "Daria Berenato" who had that MMA gimmick, and of course Nikki Storm. Still waiting to see more of them as well.

On another note, catching up on NXT from the last two weeks and I have to say I'm wondering if Aliyah and Mandy Rose might be the next two stars to shine in the Women's division. Both were very impressive.

In what was described to PWInsider as a "mutually agreed upon decision", WWE has released NXT performer Stuart Tomlinson aka Hugo Knox, 31. Knox had not worked a match for the brand since this past August.

Knox, a former soccer goalkeeper from Great Britain, had been signed to a WWE developmental deal in December 2013. He had not been a featured regular on the NXT TV series.

Heard about this midweek. He has moved back to the UK and is now a personal trainer. He got released as his neck was giving him issues.

Aries and Itami are feuding, Itami is in with a partner, Aries is not in, figured he needs a partner. Seems logical to me.

Surprised Knox was released, had the best physique and I don't think he was too bad. Wasn't he on the NXT tour overseas this summer?
