I must be missing the joke because didn't you admit to being a thief just a couple threads below? Look I can type LOL too.
Next VOW podcast should have a section on explaining the difference between being a customer & a fan.

On a week to week basis, VOW, LAW and The Torch's free feed offer better and more varied audio content than F4W does.

There isn't much difference between you and Alvarez the last two weeks when it comes to reacting to criticism.
PWG and F4W are two successful small businesses that don't feel enough pressure to change currently. However your stance on both are wildly different for some reason.

Re: F4W/Observer-Is it still worth paying for?
Not sure that comparison is truly fair. There's the belief that if PWG takes steps towards growth, it loses the identity that has made it so appealing in the past 8 years. Look at ROH's changes in the past 5 years as evidence - while business makes corporate suits feel a sense of arousal, much of the heart and soul that defined the company is forever gone, and it took years to get past the initial thin roster growing pains.
F4W is simply ran by a lazy carny that is content to hold his ground and say there's no need to evolve, even as valuable contributors depart for various reasons without being properly replaced. His refusal to admit and re-evaluate the drop in current wrestling commentary performance for both himself and his friend reminds me of early 2010s Gabe Sapolsky, who was clearly burned out and disinterested still but lashed out at criticism until he got real with himself and admitted we were right.

I'm gonna really lose sleep over that considering you never apologized for that bullshit DM exchange.

The website is worth the money for the TNA Mecca and Dave stuff alone

Reeves got over it, so others should as well.

Late on this, but comparing the Todd Martin shows with Bryan to the ones with Wade should really put paid to the "Bryan is a good host" argument.

Re: F4W/Observer-Is it still worth paying for?
My dream scenario would the good shit regulars of Torch and Observer merging for a true podcast super site - Meltzer, Keller, Alan, Martin, Stern, and Mitchell. Toss all the others aside for the scrubs that they are.
Re: RE: Re: F4W/Observer-Is it still worth paying for?
I dunno, the F4W version was really great for a long time, but it definitely fell into a pattern of arguing for the sake of arguing.pol wrote:Late on this, but comparing the Todd Martin shows with Bryan to the ones with Wade should really put paid to the "Bryan is a good host" argument.
The Keller version has had some great episodes lately but definitely had some teething issues, especially near the start when both men were far too polite and agreeable. Kind of what it's like when you don't know somebody well enough to have a real disagreement.
I'd call it a wash.
