Well don't get me wrong, but in my opinion if it was said by one of the wrestlers, who said to play it up with a story, I don't think it would have been a bad thing. The main problem is that the guy that gets most publicity from historic 1st evolve event on floslam is a color commentator, who said a joke that some people didn't like. Not thatcher and gulak having a war or hero stealing the show once again or riddle being awesome or some storyline or whatever that could help them draw money. A joke that wasn't any important part of the storyline. I think that Gabe really didn't want anybody to speak about that, because it would get the most attention on the show. By the way I think it was kind of funny.

The comment was lame until he directed it towards Hathaway. Then I had no problem with it.

What's getting lost in all this is Tracy Williams went over Chris Hero clean, in the middle. In a spectacular match. One of the best I've seen live.

Also Riddle's promo at the end was soooo great.

Aww true. I find that's the one thing I really dislike about their product. IT feels so 2006.

WWN will create the WWN Championship, and will crown the first champion at the Mercury Rising supershow in Orlando on April 1st - it will be the major title of WWN, and will encompass all their brands...

EVOLVE: The major men's promotion
SHINE: The major women's promotion
Full Impact Pro: Described as the "Wild West promotion" by Gabe
Style Battle: WWN's new tournament based promotion
American Combat Wrestling: The old school regional promotion

I don't know if this means that the WWN Championship will be fought for by both male and female wrestlers if they're emphasising SHINE's inclusion in this. Effectively this makes the EVOLVE, SHINE and FIP Titles the IC level belts, with this major WWN belt the top one in the conglomerate of promotions.

These Evolve mini-docs on their YouTube are fantastic. Prodution values are top and I hope they can bring this over to their shows and their overall feel.

Anybody think it's counterintuitive that they're suddenly trying to create more continuity among WWN promotions? That made more sense when they were trying to build the "network" of WWN brands on its own site & distribution. Now that they're all distributed on Flo, it actually would make more sense to not worry about cohesion, because it adds to the perception that there is more product diversity on the service. I think a WWN Champion is a dumb idea. Just have the Evolve Champion defend on other shows to build the credibility of that already established title.
