I'm a fan of Gabe's ROH booking in general, but watching every show from 2002-2006, you see the glaring holes in his tag team division and his booking of it. Some of this falls on the wrestlers who really didn't know how to work tags (tornado tags and illegal man going for pin falls late is terrible).

Briscoes vs. Styles/Red. Punk/Cabana vs. numerous teams. All very weak from a booking and in ring perspective.

Gabe was good at 8 man tags or bigger. Best Generation Next tags were the 8 man's in the Spring-Summer of 2004. Going to 40% of the shows and getting every home release, I would always end up disappointed in the tag team scene.

For EVOLVE's 50th show...50TH, they've done a rather poor job of making it feel like a big deal unfortunately. Granted, given the state of things I am not exactly sure how they could have boosted things. Sure there had to be a way though. What is Aries doing? Or some other bigger star?

Should have booked Amazing Red vs. Andrew Everett.

Yeah it is really interesting. Gargano is kind of played out as a character and stylistically. Page is his real life buddy but I would give Gargano's scalp to someone else before from a wrestler POV and that Page is Canadian. Not sure of Ethan's status work visa wise but but Canadian wrestlers have been flagged left and right this year.

AND then there's the WWE-WWN stuff.

An interesting booking to monitor is one Gargano has with SMASH Wrestling in London, Ontario in late November. And he's their champion, so that's double interesting. Perhaps if he ends up dropping it this month (their October show is the day before this Page match in EVOLVE), things will become clearer.

he's currently not booked for their October show. I think his booking with Evolve conflicts. Hero is not on the show either.

Page (and at the time Alexander and Sparx) were being promoted under hashtags and art to make it less likely to be caught. Obviously we know what happened to Sparx, but after awhile Page dropped that, so I think his paperwork is under control.

After my gut instinct of Gargano leaving Evolve, a minute later I decided he's probably not leaving, especially since nothing happens to Page if he loses. This is the perfect thing to promote. He's on NXT, and a loser leaves town match is all you need to jump to conclusions.

I mean, if he's fully signed, OK then. But this just screams swerve to me (and not in a bad way this time).

Yeah, I kind of read this as Gabe trying to recapture some Summer of Punk use of rumors...but in this case I don't believe Gargano is signing with the WWE. It's either a swerve or Gargano and he wins, or he's leaving WWN to do other stuff.

Remember who broke that news, brothers.

Matt Riddle made it pretty obvious.

I loved that match. Favorite opener of 2015 and a huge win for Hot Sauce

EVOLVE 49 was a decent show. I thought the opener was ok, and just to point out, Peter Kaasa is a genetic freak. Matt Riddle's debut was ok as well, but he definitely needs work.
Then the Gulak/Lee match was good; it suffered from a slow start, but got pretty tense by the end. The impromptu Willie Mack match was kind of bad for me, mostly because of Cooter.
Following that was Roppongi Vice, whom I'm really starting to fall for, versus "Dream Team" Timothy Thatc.... OH MY GOD'S HEADBUTT....and TJP. I enjoyed it a lot, and I made it out as match of the night.
Finally, there's the main event contest between Gargano and Page. Not gonna lie, Page's entrance had me fooled, and now I like Ethan Page. Good match between these two, with an intense finish, I thought they delivered.
The name's David Perez, but you can call me David Purorez (GET ITTTTT?)
