I've heard good things about Rush from smaller companies, so it will be interesting to see him get a run on a bigger stage.

The WWEvolve era is certainly not off to the start I was hoping for

Evolve is trying out a new mini-documentary series. The first one is on Evolve Champion Timothy Thatcher:

There'll be a three day Tag Titles tournament in January - the first two teams are RPG Vice and the team of Drew Galloway and Johnny Gargano.

I agree about the main event, but I didn't find the rest of the card to be particularly memorable; the good stuff went way too long(The Galloway/Konley match is the perfect example), and the meh stuff was...well, meh. Definitely a one match show, but what a match.

I've been thinking about asking this for awhile, with regards to the "GrappleFuck" Discussion, specially Timothy Thatcher, and with the shows this past weekend, I figured it'd be a good time to ask.

For those who don't like Timothy Thatcher, is it all of his matches, or does it depend on who he's facing? For me, personally, what I've found is that, when I see Thatcher in matches where he's either wrestling a "hard striker" (guys like Hero, Busick, Tommy End, possibly Drew Galloway) or a "technical wizard" (Zack Sabre Jr., TJ Perkins), they generally range from good to really great (in my opinion). However, when he's facing another "grappling" guy (like Drew Gulak), his matches don't resonate with me as much. Again, that's just my opinion, but I think it's an interesting topic of discussion. Now I have yet to watch the shows from this past weekend (probably won't be able to until tomorrow at the earliest), but all the buzz surrounding the shows, particularly Thatcher/Gargano, has me really intrigued.

There'll be three shows for the tag title tournament - January 22nd in Ybor City, and January 23rd and 24th in Orlando. Both the Orlando shows are 2pm local bell times, the Sunday obviously for the Royal Rumble (also in Orlando), which has led to speculation that there'll be something big from NXT on the Saturday.

Good move by Evolve to take advantage of the Royal Rumble Weekend like Ring of Honor has the past two years. Hopefully this leads to larger-than-usual attendance numbers for those shows.

It'll be interesting to see how many teams they'll actually have, and what the format of the tournament would be. I know they did a four-team round robin to crown the first Open The United Gate Champions, but the fact that we have three teams already makes me think they'll be a doing a different format with more than four teams. We'll probably get some iteration of Drew Gulak's Catch Point stable, and I'm sure they can bring in other teams. If I had to guess, I'd say they'll do quarter-finals the first show, semi-finals on the second show, and the Finals on the third show.

He and Fred Yehi are both great additions. I'm hoping they keep using Gresham as well, very underutilized talent.

It'll be interesting to see when there is now a transparent relationship between WWN and New York. Why have him waste space in the PC when he can get some seasoning down in WWN? This isn't a case that he isn't going to be brought in soon but I'm not entirely confident (I don't get scoops) that he goes off grid for over 6 months just because he goes to the PC in Q1 of next year. Maybe I'm woefully optimistic.

I remember Rovert saying in the NXT thread that it's more insurance reasons why WWE contracted talent are probably not gonna be on Evolve wrestling.

I'm not exactly sure what my post had to with that (meaning I clearly didn't say what I meant).

By February NXT will probably have split crews. The national one and the rookie Florida based one. So Riddle might be in the mix somewhat quickly. Let the business plan play out.
