People are all about pushing every wrestler to join AEW. How the hell are they going to fit everybody? How long would it take until they have this WWE of wrestlers being unhappy over being stuck at certain levels due to too much talent? How long until they look second rate due to over relying on WWE signings? Cody and The Bucks are not these miracle bookers no matter what some try to claim.

Yeah with KENTA I feel most people are jumping the gun way too much with OMG he's signing with AEW like they are for everyone who has a contract up.

I have next to no interest in watching KENTA right now. He has gotten out of shape and looks like he doesn't care. Maybe he'll look much different outside of WWE, but I would far prefer he goes back to Japan.

Dave reported that the Best Friends are heading to AEW and New Japan is not happy about it since they had a verbal agreement with Trent.

Depending on whether business or personal rules the day, any AEW/New Japan collaboration might be moving further away from happening in the near future.

The most telling thing is they're releasing KENTA, while refusing to do the same with others who want out. They're more threatened by Mike Kanelllis going elsewhere than they are KENTA. Let that sink in.

My guess with this situation is he has something in writing about going back to Pro Wrestling NOAH which WWE (rightfully) has no concerns with. I doubt they let him out of his contract (even him who they've barely used) if he indicated to them that he was bound for AEW or NJPW. I'm just spit-balling, I have no knowledge but there has to be a reason Kanellis was told he had to stay but KENTA wasn't.

Kenta looks like utter shit rn. His needs to get his gyno fixed, it's disgusting. He needs to go under some Goto waterfall and get his passion back.

Best Friends doesn't really move the needle one way or another. Trent can have very good matches and Chuckie T can shine in the right environment. Good soldiers, but not your capos.

Brock seems like he'd be the true game changer for AEW. He's a total mercenary so if Khan backs up the brinks truck, it's possible. Omega/Brock would def fill a 20k building. This would also be a true shot at the fed, taking away one of their few unique acts that they invested a ton of booking equity in.

Brock/Swagger is also a fun option for a possible shoot style cross-platform feud.

At this point, do we know any details from his WWE contract that would prevent him from signing with a company other than NOAH? My guess is that he had an out clause specifically for NOAH

Josh Alexander to Impact, which perhaps more importantly for Alexander, it means his visa stuff is sorted out. Already saw U.S. indie promoters talking about using him again.
