WrestleMania 35 Weekend (NYC Metro Area)
Re: WrestleMania 35 Weekend (NYC Metro Area)
I would also expect MLW to run something that week. LU vs. Impact II would make sense and I'm guessing the usual suspects from Wrestlecon will be back.
With it being in NY, it would be shocking if the local promotions also don't run shows. Maybe with some of the bigger companies running larger venues, places like La Boom and the Melrose Ballroom will open up.

I’d definitely suggest listing them on ROH World* and a couple FB groups - Honor Club, RoH - Ring of Honor.
*may require some community familiarity. If so I can put a good word in to override that

Thanks, I'll check those out. Might also list them on Stubhub

Whether your room is booked yet or not, definitely shop around, even if it's just looking at the current rates at the location you've booked. I switched my 8-night stay in Secaucus from the Candlewood to the Extended Stay America. I still get my kitchen plus free parking and wifi, but also have moved from a location that had nothing within quick walking distance, to now being in a shopping center, as well as a 24-hour Walmart that's just a 15-minute walk away. In addition, my new hotel location is near multiple highways. As for the savings? Approximately $215.

It's a crapshoot with the weather and the whole series may be postponed anyway, but no Friday game is brutal.
Re: WrestleMania 35 Weekend (NYC Metro Area)
Given where all the shows seem to be happening, I'd like to suggest people look into hotels on the further west side of midtown. With recent opening of the Hudson Yards stop on the 7 and the centrality of both Penn Station and Times Square, you can reach most of the weekend's events (those announced so far) by subway from right around then. There's also a ton of bars and restaurants up and down 9th avenue, many of which are decently priced. Training it to Metlife is pretty easy, though the wait to get back may be long.

Absolutely HORRENDOUS timing since it's monthly rent, plus WrestleCon goes on sale, PLUS All In is this weekend.

Re: WrestleMania 35 Weekend (NYC Metro Area)
Observer:
WaleMania, which had been announced for April 4 in the New York area is very much in question. Court Bauer, who has produced the shows with Wale, said it’s not dead, but it’s more uncertain with WWE looking at working with Wale. Wale did commentary on parts of 205 Live on 8/14, and while that was all the two sides had agreed to, obviously a deal would preclude him doing an independent event Mania week. Wale has talked for years about either wanting an involvement with WWE, or to do his own wrestling company. Right now the plan is to use that date at the Melrose Theater for a TV taping
Re: WrestleMania 35 Weekend (NYC Metro Area)
So, GCW (and maybe other companies) are the first to announce outside NYC. There are path trains to Jersey city, but not sure how close this is to there.

Re: WrestleMania 35 Weekend (NYC Metro Area)
It's a pretty bold move by a promotion that is as regional as Nova is, but they've got a solid following live and on Powerbomb. I wonder if they are one of the groups working with GCW or maybe even Wrestlecon.
