Sears Centre Arena it is. It really made the most sense considering the logistics of the other places. A pain for those in the city without cars, but ultimately a good location for those traveling in, which is the intent at the end of the day.

Should be a fun weekend though. AAW on the Thursday, a convention of sorts at some point likely on Friday. And to enjoy the city the rest of the holiday weekend.

AAW 8/30 tickets on sale now if you'd like to get that part of the weekend reserved.

I wanted to set the record straight on a recent report that’s been floating around. Is September 23rd the day your contract expires?

No, no. I had somebody say that to me on my Twitter. They said, does your contract expire on September 23rd? And I was like, how do people even know that. But no, my contract actually runs out September 1st, which is actually the day of the All In show, but it’s funny because that doesn’t compute. I was in the Bahrain Comic Con the last two days, and we did Q&As, and at each one, somebody asked me about that. They said, ‘are you going to be at All In’? I’m not. I don’t know what to tell you. But yeah, my contract is up September 1st.

Observer:
While we have still yet to find a true independent show without television promotion in the modern era to have drawn 10,000, or close to that, in the U.S., there is one example in Canada. Jacques Rougeau Jr., booked the Bell Centre in Montreal on December 30, 2001, which is a great day, and drew 12,000 fans for a show headlined by Pierre-Cart Ouellet vs. Kurrgan and the three Rougeau Brothers, Jacques, Raymond and Armando, teaming together for the first time in 15 years, against three students of Jacques, plus he brought in outsiders Earthquake John Tenta, King Kong Bundy, Jim Duggan. Jacques' son who was 13 worked the undercard, as did a 17-year-old Kevin Owens as Kevin Steen

Between ROH attendance and noted draws Kurrgan and PCO main eventing that show, it sort of puts the CM Punk stuff into perspective a bit.

I feel like a lot of drawing arguements are a bit overblown anyway. Yes, I'm sure people showed up back in the day purely because Bruno was on top, but beyond that, I'd venture that less people care about who's main eventing a show than is generally credited. If it's a great card, or the show is a big deal for some other reason, like, say, the Rougeaus are running it and they have a bit of caché, that probably counts for just as much in a lot of cases. New Japan sold out Long Beach without announcing a card. It's not just WWE where the brand draws. Maybe they do need a Punk level name to hit as much as 10k, but I think there's other ways around that. If the card is remotely decent and the Bullet Club are still 'hot', I think they'll do fine. People are going to support them on principle, up to a point, anyway. And if other companies are running as well, that can only help in terms of perceived value.

Or, they need to book Kurrgan.

How do people feel about the possibility of Nick vs Matt on this show?

I'm not enthused, but the storyline could potentially sell me on it. I think there's a better match in them being torn apart briefly by Cody's manipulation, THEN re-uniting for All In against somebody. These guys are well-honed tag wrestlers, and good-to-okay singles wrestlers (I don't think I've seen either work a singles in years) and I don't believe even they think there's huge money in brother vs brother.

Lucha Bros vs Golden Lovers is a dream match of the highest calibre.

The show is six months away, so its way to early for an actual split, although i could see seeds being planted in the SSE main event

it'll be VERY interesting if we get an Okada singles match

he might be champ still

he might not

or they could stick him in some tag like a korouken show
