So there really isn't anything new from The Observer on this issue of ROH vs. NXT (at least not a lot of things that we didn't already know about).

Although the issues between NJPW and ROH are interesting.

I feel like Meltzer is still unable to provide full details right now, but the New Japan stuff and the talent situation is interesting. When it comes to the WWE won't hire anybody who goes to ROH deal I think it will have an impact on them. Look at how people have avoided TNA for so long. As far as WWE still going after current top ROH talents, let's see what happens. So far their ROH road attempts have not gone well.

This is completely true. I know what a few people have told him. A lot of the things WWE are doing are both questionable legally and are hard to completely verify as a journalist. Don't be surprised if ROH legally threatens WWE especially over possible contract tampering.

I feel like Meltzer is just making shit up to be honest because he knows tension sells. Or hypes things up at most. People who think New Japan are going to enter a deal were they will be the lesser part, as they would with the WWE, are daft.

Meltzer isn't on this in particular please trust me. WWE are being especially vindictive on this and seemingly doing questionable things legally. They are attacking every asset ROH has in one way or another.

Also there's never been any evidence that Meltzer makes things up.

I have my issues with Dave, but those are mainly in his opinion based pieces. In every way Dave has always shown himself to be a credible journalist, so I don't buy him making shit up just to create tension, not for a second.

Let me clarify. I have no doubt Dave is a credible journalist. But I feel that he is just making the issues between ROH and NJPW seem bigger than they should be. NJPW has been in this boat before with American promotions they have worked with (see TNA). Whatever issues there are between them they should be easily fixable. No to mention that the idea of WWE trying to steal NJPW is laughable since New Japan would be stupid to partner up with them since they would not be kept as equals by the E.

Heading into this iPPV, the TV this past week on DA had 267,000 total viewers for 8 and 11PM. Not including SBG affiliates of course.

Looking over the ratings for the last eight weeks, I did the math to see what the numbers looked like week to week. They're down 6,000 viewers since the DA debut. It's gone up, down, up, down, up, down, and up again, so the pattern shows it'll go down next week, though you would hope they can increase coming off the iPPV. Best ratings were for New Japan guys of course, but Shinsuke Nakamura ain't walking through that door every TV taping.

After this run, does anyone think DA will keep it or basically dump it with Impact?

6/3 - 163,000/110,000 - 273,000
6 /10 - 161,000/138,000 - 299,000 +26,000
6/17 - 172,000/100,000 - 272,000 -27,000
6/24 - 185,000/145,000 - 330,000 +58,000
7/1 - 157,000/81,000 - 238,000 -92,000
7/8 - 128,000/134,000 - 262,000 +24,000
7/15 - 80,000/89,000 - 169,000 -93,000
7/22 - 139,000/128,000 - 267,000 +98,000

I think DA would be smart to keep it. It's not costing them anything and ROH isn't asking them for anything. It's essentially free programming on which they can sell ad time. Also, I'm no ratings expert, but I can't imagine Hillbilly Blood or whatever doing better than ROH's numbers and that probably costs DA a bit more to produce.

Death Before Dishonor is a mixed bag.

Lethal vs. Strong is probably gonna be an awesome match. Unfortunately there's zero percent change that Strong leaves with the belt, so that kills some of the hype for the match. We've seen ACH/Page so many times now, that it's starting to lose it's cool. Cedric vs. Moose doesn't say anything for me.

I think there's a chance Addiction loses the tag titles tonight in the 4-way. So that'll be interesting. Briscoes vs. Roppongi Vice looks so strange on paper, that the styles clash can only make for a great match. Adam Cole vs. Dalton Castle just sounds awesome. I'm sure Silas Young and Will Ferrara will surprise some too, and have a good match!

On my way to the show, really excited for this. Roddy/Lethal is something I'm happy to see in person.

I'd say I'm excited about DBD. I really liked Best in the World but you could argue this has a better card.
All matches have the potential to be at least very good, so definitely looking forward to it.
