This show is just so poorly written. Roman buddying up with Jericho despite Jericho walking out on his team and blaming him for the loss at Night of Champions, to Paige coming out to manage Nattie after the whole did she kill Nattie thing.

Great Becky/Charlotte segment. Now, let's see if they'll be given the time to deliver on Sunday

The Royal Rumble means as much to me as it does Becky in this promo:

So it is an honest heartbreaker to see it being rendered near meaningless.

Glad guys argue about being on Jericho's talk show rather than use the time detailing how important the Rumble is since it gives many guys the very rare opportunity to be THE champion.

Observer:
Orlando is the frontrunner for the 2017 WrestleMania with Minneapolis now out. There is talk around town that an announcement will be made over Rumble week. There has also been a lot of talk about Los Angeles since they are building a new 80,000 seat stadium in Inglewood for the Rams, and they are looking at putting in a bid for a WrestleMania in four or five years after the stadium is completed. Heather Fagan, the deputy chief of staff for Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said that the city has been in a bid and claimed, “We have not received any notification and are waiting to hear like other cities.” I find it very difficult to believe that the host city for 2017 doesn’t know, or that a city that put in a bid doesn’t know they don’t have it either. The time line is usually the spring of two years before the show when people know, although in the case of 2017, that was Minneapolis at first

If you recall with the Bryan story that he was going to get another opinion regarding coming back. He went to see concussion specialists at UCLA and underwent a battery of tests and they gave him the green light. But as of press time, he has not been cleared by WWE or Dr. Joseph Maroon, because of his number of prior concussions. All indications are the WWE is still very leery about clearing him. He would be ready to return immediately if they made the call to clear him. There was a report going around that he was going to see Maroon this week, but we’re told that is not the case. He is going to Pittsburgh on 1/22 for a previously booked personal appearance doing autographs at a car show, but it’s an in-and-out gig
Lesnar has been added to the 3/22 Smackdown tapings in [Boston]. He will be doing more Smackdowns over the next few months in the attempt to strengthen the show. He’s also booked on the 2/15 Smackdown in Ontario, CA. Lesnar has not appeared on a Smackdown show since 2004
Sin Cara is expected back from his dislocated shoulder next month

So, two random Mania scenarios that have popped into my head over the last 24 hours. I think one is at least possible, the other a bit of stretch...

Right now, there is no natural fit for a tag match at Mania. New Day is too over to do a random multi team match (they may still do it, but I think they have bigger plans). Their issue with Jericho is unresolved and last fall, we saw them have some interactions with Edge and Christian. The latter two have a new show WWE Network coming out and Jericho has history with both of them. So, could we see Jericho & Christian vs. New Day with Edge and Xavier on the outside?

The other scenario is about the Undertaker. Again, like the tag match, there is no clear opponent though I am somewhat fearful that they may randomly plug Del Rio in there. I had thought Owens might be a good fit, but I suspect he'll be paired with Zayn or maybe Styles. Given how much they like Strowman and also noting his limitations, would it be possible we'll see Bray & Strowman vs. Brock & Taker?

Bray and Strowman vs. Brock and Taker may be a fit for Fastlane, but I hope and pray it doesn't end up on the Mania card. I'm not as against Brock/Bray as a lot of people are, but I definitely don't want anything else added to it.

As far as your idea of Jericho/Christian vs. New Day, I'm completely on board with that! I'd love to see Christian have One More Match (lol), especially at Mania. That match could steal the show early one for sure. I imagine we'll end up getting some crazy tag match like we got last year with multiple teams going for the belts. I like your idea much more though.

Bray and Strowman vs. Brock and Taker doesn't really work for me. Reason being is why would Taker team with Brock considering Brock was the one to end the Streak? I get that WWE likes to combine two mania feuds and throw them into a random tag team match per the PPV before mania but that just doesn't seem right.

Gotta have the company's biggest star sexually humiliate the woman with heat backstage, huh
