Re: Official WWE Thread
I soured on Simmons as a personality a couple years ago, but the Andre doc should be pretty solid.
Re: Official WWE Thread
Mojo/Hawkins: Better than I expected. I like Mojo more than most.
Becky/Mickie: Very good stuff. Leaves a lot on the bone for more. Almost a showcase for Mickie.
Handicap Match: Um...bad? Yeah let's go with bad.
Tag Team Turmoil: This was fine. Alpha should've come in much earlier if not first. Not sure where we go outside of the Usos.
Nikki/Nattie: Didn't meet expectations. Pretty poor to be honest. Nikki wasn't as over as I expected with a hometown crowd. Non-finish. Blah. Worst of the 3 women's matches.
Orton/Harper: Pretty good, but it was hurt by an obvious result.
Naomi/Alexa: Head scratching result. This is more of push than Balor got last year. Match was better than expected but sloppy as I feared it would be. Finish was very bad.
Chamber: Best Chamber ever. Hated the new Chamber, seeing it in action, I love it now. Styles continues to perform on another level. Happy for Bray but if we're honest he purely a transitional champion to put the belt on Orton.
I'm happy for Naomi, but man that title win didn't do it for me. Unfortunately, any time you put the belt on someone from Total Divas they'll be questions if it's for that show. She feels like an interim champion. The Becky/Alexa feud never got resolved properly and it felt awkward that Becky tries for 2 months, can't get a fair shot, Naomi pops in and picks up the title less than 3 weeks after returning.

I loved the elimination chamber match, but I'm not sure if it was the best chamber match ever. Definitely one of the best to take place. It is incredible how much AJ Styles bumped in that matched considering he is almost 40 years ago. While Styles was the MVP of the match, Cena had a great performance in that match as well. They helped to make Bray Wyatt look like a star & it will be interesting to see if he can maintain the momentum from that big win. The new design of the chamber looks tremendous. It looks more ominous & intimidating.

Observer:
Jim Ross wrote that he’s been hearing that Angle will be inducted into the Hall of Fame by Cena
I don’t know when or how extensively at this point, but the plan right now is that Angle will be doing at least some wrestling in WWE. He would have to pass a physical, and obviously at best it would be very limited
although they are doing a sleight-of-hand storyline and teasing it won’t happen, this is to build for a Wyatt vs. Randy Orton match that will be one of the main events at WrestleMania.
Re: Official WWE Thread
Steele was someone who I always felt took more away from the angles he was involved in than he contributed to. Most notably, his angle with Savage wasted Savage's first Mania appearance and sullied the Mania 3 match to an extent.
Still, he's one of those guys that people remember and my non-wrestling friends all recognize. So, RIP.

Hated the babyface George. He was awesome as a rough and tough rulebreaker in the 1970'smlev76 wrote:

Who's Rob Viper ?
Re: Official WWE Thread
Been watching Mark Remark and got curious: If Bray was gonna take the title at EC, then why did Styles need to lose to Cena? You keep the 16th win a little later down the line, you can still have Bray beat both guys back to back in both EC and then beat Cena next night on Smackdown, etc...

Re: Official WWE Thread
The real money is in BREAKING the record.
I'll put it here now.
SummerSlam 2018 - Boston, MA
Dream Match for Universal Title
Roman Reigns vs. John Cena
Finally, FINALLY, Cena is universally beloved, going for #-7 in the home of the 17 time World Champion Celtics.
If possible, get as many Boston sports legends as possible to be in attendance.

Re: Official WWE Thread
Good grief. If I understand this schedule, SmackDown has 7 weeks of TV to build Mania and then 7 weeks coming out of Mania before Backlash. That seems a bit nuts.supersonic wrote:http://www.skysports.com/wwe/calendar

Based on road schedule, I expect Backlash in Cleveland.
