Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)

Wasn't into any of the qualifiers so far (not watched the Canadian one but the rest were pretty unimpressive). If the Japan one underdelivers I'll be shocked, but at least the RevPro J Cup show will lift the weekend up a bit.

Still sad they didn't confirm Ibushi and Tiger Mask W to both be taking part, but happy with everything else.

► Show Spoiler
Absolutely fantastic weekend. Nearly passed out during the main event, the atmosphere was that intense. Just an unbelievable finale to one of the best weekends of wrestling I've ever experienced. Really had everything. What a fucking roll Progress is on.

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

No spoilers but Day One was a decent show with some very good matches. Day Two now has a MOTY contender for me in Travis Banks vs Flamita so I am super hyped. Pretty much all the licenced music is gone now. Massive bummer to see Havoc without AFI. Fans started singing Depeche Mode and the Divinyls ...

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

What's a 'wasteman' challenge? A Roy Johnson open challenge, basically. It can really be anything. A wrestling match, a rap battle, or just 15-20 minutes of absolute nonsense. It's usually a blast though, they did one at SSS16 last year and it was a fantastic palette cleanser after an intense day a...

Re: Australian Indy Wrestling - Home of TMDK

Also, NSW based wrestlers Josh Shooter & Mark Davis have gone over to the UK. Very high on both of those dudes & I think they can possibly make an impact. They are both strong, hard-hitting wrestlers with charisma. Think it's Mark Davis' first trip over but good to see Shooter making a return, his ...

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

:| Would've liked a front row seat, but they were "sold out" yesterday, so I got a row 2-6 one. Now there's front row for sale again? Great. Also, fuck booking fees and fuck unreserved seating. No issue with unreserved seating myself but agreed on the booking fees front, especially when Progress ha...

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

He comes across proud that he's getting to run a show at Alexandra Palace, and enjoys announcing stuff like that. Would probably struggle not to have the same reaction if I was getting to announce stuff like that for my company.

Re: The BritWres thread (Big Daddy for HoF)

With Gibson back in PROGRESS (following storyline events that coincidentally wrote out all World of Sport contracted talent) and CJ Banks in the WWE try out, its time to hashtag ask questions about the future of World of Sport. None of them were really written out, there was just nothing really to ...

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

PROGRESS just announced an extra new Manchester date for 23rd July, bringing Chapter 52 forwards from whatever show it was originally scheduled for. I wonder if anyone is in the country that they couldn't say no to. That, or Manchester has been selling really well lately, and they didn't want to wa...

Kurtis Chapman & Josh Wall vs. Scarlet & Graves was confirmed for the May 28th Cockpit show as well.
That last one is in Portsmouth.
Yeah my bad, I had Cockpit in my head I guess. I blame Keith Lee and his beautiful face.

Re: Dragon Gate

So after looking through the schedule for the King of Gate tournament, I have Eita winning the A-Block, Susumu winning the B-Block, Doi winning the C-Block and Hulk winning the D-Block as my picks, with Doi defeating Eita in the finals. What are everyone else's thoughts? Anyway I hope a good chunk ...

Re: The BritWres thread (Big Daddy for HoF)

Vimeo release has the match too. Odd as I was sure it was going to have to be dark. Guess WWE approved it? Wonder if this is an indication FCP is signing up with Progress and ICW on the WWE side of the "war". Given that Trent Seven is at least part owner, it would make sense. It makes more sense th...
