Re: AAW Thread
It's Teddy, so I was guessing part of that - at least the part that it was happening right here/now - was his idea on the moment. But the draw really did hurt. I think they thought having Davey Vega try to hit on Scarlett would change the mood, but that tag title match died a death and the crowd was...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread
There's a very good preview show on the New Japan Youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE2iJ7ftB_g&t=0s For me it's the perfect hype for the Dome as it covers the background to all the matches and doesn't try to calculate what's going to happen next or what would be the best results for...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread
CMLL guys are never getting pushed in NJPW, but Dragon Lee turned up New Year's Dash. He's not booked in CMLL next week, which could mean he's turning up in Tokyo again...or he's just still on vacation. I wish they ran BUSHI vs Dragon Lee as a Number Five Contender's Match on the Fan Festa (where th...

Re: AAW Thread
I'm really curious about the title match too.I thought for sure Elgin was winning when that was that match - it felt like he was really supposed to have won it over the summer, but they decided to run with Fenix/Callihan for a while and Elgin wasn't going to lose twice - and so they're in an unchart...

Re: NWA Thread - The Relic, The Remnant
I have not been following this closely, but it seemed like the concept was "the NWA champ will go anywhere! face anyone! who knows what could happen!" and then the reality was was "he faced the same two (not must see) guys twice". That's not quite as exciting.

Re: VOW Flagship (December 6): Call for questions
any thoughts about CHIKARA character the Whisper, a rudo who seems to know all of the ugly secrets of other CHIKARA wrestlers and uses them to manipulate them and lure them to the dark side?

CMLL Microman (first match for CMLL 2017-04-30, debuted 2017-04-30) Zacarias el Perico (first match for CMLL 2017-04-30, had been around for years as second) Gallito (first match for CMLL 2017/04/30, had been around as for years in Guadalajara as a second) Retro (full time with CMLL 03/11/2017, debu...

Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??
I dunno if anyone besides the most dedicated of AAA twitter (and Garrett) watched the Lucha World Cup from a couple months ago, but DJZ & Everett vs Ishimori & HI69 was the best match of that whole thing. Not a must see but fun for what it was. It would've been better if they hadn't shortened the ma...

Re: VOW Flagship: Styles & Suzuki, WON HOF, All-In, FloSlam/WWN & more!
I want to believe fictional Colt Cabana's lucha vote is for Los Brazos due to his love for Super Porky and nothing else. Joe was very particular that Naito's never drawn 10K in *NJPW* and I'm not disputing that, but Naito & Yujiro did drew over 10K in CMLL and were part of a multiman that sold out A...

Re: AAW Thread
He seemed to be doing good traffic with people getting autographs and selfies, I think he's going to be fine for at least a little while. He can't just live off his past name and I feel like the buzz of him being this guy who that no good evil WWE fired over a selfie has already worn off.

Re: 2017 Most Improved
He's now a heel. He doesn't quite fit the rudo wrestling style, but it's helped him show a personality. He feuded with Bengala, and last week's TV episode was built around him challenging for the cruiserweight title.

Re: 2017 Most Improved
I want to suggest Shane Strickland, but I don't know enough of to know if the leap in performances took place last year or this (and watching his LU stuff just confuses my mind.) I think Soberano would be the rightful Mexican candidate, but that's less him actually improving and more CMLL letting hi...

Re: AAW Thread
Both title matches are intriguing to me. If AAA basing Penta shows up, him vs DJZ is going to be as nuts as any of the Penta/Fenix matches. I will always be a fan of Penta but DJZ has been so great that ending the year with a slight surprise of a title match would be great. I dunno what they do in t...

Re: Lucha Show/Matches Sticky
Maximo's out of CMLL and Atlantis has been out the last few months and may not be back until 2018. What's left behind Volador, Mistico, Caristico, Marco Corleone, Dragon Lee, Valiente, Niebla Roja, Soberano Jr., Diamante Azul (when he's around) and Angel de Oro. They've gotten really behind Soberano...

Re: Lucha Show/Matches Sticky
They're doing a story where Rush has been actively trying to recruit Volador to Los Ingobernables for the last couple of weeks based off their shared dislike of Casticio. He also made the offer to Dragon Lee at the end of that match. Volador keeps teasing joining in matches while saying he's definte...
