Had to pinch myself to make sure this wasn't a comment on a 2009 Suicidal Dragon video.

Dalton Castle

Was easily my favourite guy back when I actually made an effort to keep up with ROH TV again. So. Yeah.

Shinsuke Nakamura

Shocked a modern New Japan guy isn't nominated. Steen match way great, easily the most memorable match of the ROH-New Japan "dream" match-ups that never amounted to much and I enjoyed his other stuff too. Cagematch says he worked 8 matches. We'll see.

Re: Amazing Red

Wouldn't even put him in my top 100 TBH. Well yeah if you're including the entire 2015 New Japan roster on that list. And even then Red is better than like all of those guys. Red is the quintessential awful indy wrestler. I don't see much difference between him and the guys who show up to work at t...

Re: Why is every good match a MATYC

****1/2+ is MOTY level match. In a calendar year, I'll throw out several ****3/4 on great matches but probably only 1 or 2 will reach the elusive 5. A good match is 3.25 to 4, these matches are good but not something to go out of your way to see. 4 and 4.25 are great matches to go out of your way t...

Re: Paul London

Paul London was fucking awesome. Lots of guys do the flip flops but he's one of the rare guys that was willing to truly kill himself with jumping around and added a real sense of danger to everyting he would do. Not sure if I'll be able to think of 50 ROH guys I liked enough to submit a list but if ...

Re: El Hijo Del Santo vs. El Dandy vs. Negro Casas (CMLL 12/6/1996)

The part of the match with Casas still in there is a little eh. But oh man do things pick up once it's down to Santo and Dandy. Dandy does one of the most disgusting blade jobs ever, his blood is just all over the place and Santo goes after the cut, viciously punching and kicking it, staining his ma...

Re: Espectro Jr., Satanico & MS-1 vs. Mocho Cota, Sangre Chicana & La Fiera (EMLL 9/30/1983)

Perfect reaction to the Sangre Chicana/MS-1 match the previous week. MS-1 and his crew are pissed he lost that one so they jump their opponents here and just dominate the match with punches and kicks. They continue building heat and even tease a comeback once or twice and when it finally happens Are...
