Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Decent night 2 action, not good at rating with stars so I'll just rank them instead: 4. Ricochet vs. Tiger Mask: Match with a steady pace that picked up about mid-way. Ricochet's flying and Tiger's kicks and more powerful offense were fun and I wish there was more of it. Not bad. 3. Barretta vs. Vol...

Re: NWA Thread - The Relic, The Remnant

I can sorta see where you're coming from, but at the same time GFW and ROH provided a lot more for NJPW than the NWA ever did. Say what you like about Jarrett, he provided Jim freakin' Ross to commentate on New Japan's biggest show of the year. ROH basically lets New Japan walk over them and promot...

Re: NWA Thread - The Relic, The Remnant

That's a real bummer if New Japan is done with the NWA, I still see Owens and Conway on their roster and wonder why they haven't taken them off like they had done with Styles, Ibushi, Mike Bennett, etc. (though Owens being a replacement in the BotSJ AND the he's still Bullet Club is kinda amazing). ...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

This is a great event, they're off to good start with the Best of the Super Juniors. Them setting up Kojima versus Ishii looks like a lot of fun. My only gripe is that CHAOS and LIdJ fight so much that it's going on WWE levels of redundancy.

Re: Dragon Gate Dead or Alive, Global Wars & WWE Cuts

These Black Fridays wouldn't cut so deep if WWE wasn't so inept with a lot of their roster. Take away the 50/50 booking and fans thinking talent being held back and you still had WWE have wrestlers sitting on their hands doing nothing. No wrestling roster can get 100% use out of their roster (but Ne...

Re: WWE 2016 Cuts

I wouldn't feel too confident about being a WWE homegrown talent the way the winds are blowing lately. WWE is clearly more focused on TNA's top talent and guys who are big in the indies or overseas and giving them the push. Sure you got Roman, Miz and 2/3 of the New Day, but its guys like Styles, Ow...

I love how NOAH's tag league of all things, get this kind of coverage.
How would I be able to get G+ and Samurai TV?

Superstars was great this week, both Ziggs vs. Breeze match #85 as well as Ryback vs. Sandow were pretty solid matches.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

New Japan put up what a I can best describe as a shareholders meeting on New Japan World. There is some buisnessy stuff with Tanahashi making an apperance in the middle, but halfway through you get two matches: Tag Team Match: Ryusuke Taguchi & David Finlay vs. KUSHIDA & Jay White Eight Man Tag Team...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Go on the Youtubes and watch the "big turn of 1980" involving Ole Anderson turning on Dusty Rhodes. Storytelling at it's zenith and that is what wrestling is all about. Ok, I'll check it out, give you my take Talking of the dire Tag match (the one blot on an otherwise excellent show) did anyone els...

Not in it for the storytelling? What do you think Pro Wrestling is suppose to be? Also, love the shootz names you reference. Must be an "insider" Yes, yes I'm a chain-smoking grizzled vet on the grimy indie circuit. Kayfabe, ham and egger, road agent and so fourth (don't I wish ). As...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale and Yujiro Takahashi) vs. Juice Robinson and Ryusuke Taguchi: Great but short opener, match by match Juice is progressing nicely. Between Yujiro's dirty tactics and Fale's everything else, face team didn't have a prayer. Of all the splintering and member changes of the BC...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Today's R2IA show was great: Kanemitsu vs. Kawato: Good for what it was (two young cubs learning the game), but Tanaka and Komatsu and later Jay and Fit Jr. spoiled me and my expectations are so high. Lots of grappling and lots of slapping, but a great end. White vs. Finlay: Obviously great, but I r...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

I haven't watched New Japan since the Finals of the Cup. About to make my way through these "Road To.." shows but don't have time to watch all them. Matches I am planning on watching are Bucks vs Elgin & Tana, Shibata vs Kojima, Elite vs Elgin, Tana & Juice, Ishii vs Evil, Okada & Goto vs Naito & B...
