Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

The Fukushima show had absolutely nothing to it but that was totally expected given the card. The only match that I guess one could've expected to be better was Ishii/Ospreay vs Naito/Hiromu and for me at least it was pretty much what I thought it'd be. Suzuki/Elgin could've been more similar to the...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

The first round of Oudou looks quite good, I have to say. Zeus/Say will have another hard hitting awesome match and I'm sure the trend will continue with Zeus beating Sai in Oudou after losing to him at CC. Ishikawa/Bodyguard and Kento/KAI are two other CC rematches that were good/great the first ti...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Up until the Dory match every match was what it needed to be: short and fast. I loved the Okada/Sato match they showed on intermission, OKD just going after the guy relentlessly like his life depended on it but still losing. This deal of AJPW guy vs guy who left AJPW worked very well here, with Iwam...

Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??

Yeah, as much as I would love to see a long(-ish) Eddie reign I think there's a very good chance he just won for them to transition the belt to Marufuji while saving the Nakajima/Marufuji match for later.

Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??

Just watched Nakajima vs Cage today, and wow. I found strange that the video run time was like half an hour and two minutes into the match the pace had already picked up and the crowd was already buzzing; figured it was due to editing and while there was still a little bit of that the main reason wa...

Re: G1 Climax 27

I thought I was the only person that had thought that, but I have to agree. MiSu is one of my all time favorites, but aside from the Okada title match, something about Suzuki just hasn't been clicking. I keep having high hopes his matches, like with Omega, Elgin, ect but they keep being just okay. ...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

I thought Akiyama/Omori for the GAORA TV title was on this show. What happened? It's happening at the Gaora TV Taping on 8/11. The show will air on the 25th so we should barely have enough time to watch it before Ryogoku starts. SamuraiTV is airing the Ryogoku show this time so no GAORA Title defen...

The stuff that AJPW uploads to Nico is no longer on the drive. You can sub to nico on youtube to get access to those shows.
Ah, OK. Cool. Thanks.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

The first two that came to my mind were Kojima and Suzuki. Going through the rest of the list I would guess Funaki, Hama and Mutoh are also possibilities.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Just recently watched the 20/6 show in Hokkaido. I thought it was very good. Tanaka vs Yohei was a solid opener; nothing more. I'm looking forward to Tanaka's Jr. title challenge, I really like his work. I personally hope he wins the belt but I don't think it'll happen. I do think Sato is fine as ch...

Re: G1 Climax 27

Kojima is beating Okada, calling it now. I would mark out so much for this. I don't think it'll happen, but I'll be the happiest man on earth if it does. I've got Okada losing his first 3 matches to Yano, Elgin, and SANADA and then winning everything else on the way to Sumo Hall where I expect him ...

Re: G1 Climax 27

Thanks. I guess perhaps searching the site for 10 seconds before asking would've been a good idea, silly me.
