Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

On a show where we saw a New Japan wrestler team with an All Japan wrestler to win some tag belts, we also saw a NOAH wrestler and a Dragon Gate wrestler announced for the Champion Carnival. This, on top of the regular guests All Japan gets from DDT and BJW, and you have to be looking at AJPW right...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

1998 fans for AJPW in Yokohama today. Up by just over 120 from October. It was a good show if a bit disjointed at times. Outside of the opener the undercard was skippable but from the Asia tag match and onward it was all good stuff (the junior match depends on your tastes). Akiyama and Nomura won th...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Seems the Tongans have wisely decided to let the rest of BC figure their own shit out. I could see a separate Tongan stable if any new version of BC didn't need more members. The problem with the BC split was always one of logistics: you need pin eaters. Given Fale's role in the company with regard...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Yuma broke some bones in his ankle yesterday vs Ryoji Sai and is going to miss a couple of months. So the Asia tag belts are vacant again and Sai will step up to team with Nomura against akiyama and Nagata to crown new champions. Obviously a major bummer for Aoyagi, who was heading into his first Ch...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

They still obviously value Zeus and he'll be a lynchpin for their tag division at minimum. And I don't doubt that he will eventually win the TC, but probably not have a super long reign. He's positioned as the gatekeeper right now. And should any of the Strong 4 end up longterm injured then he will ...

Re: 2018 Prediction Thread

DDT will finally pull the trigger on Endo. BJW's push of Daichi Hashimoto will stutter due to lack of interesting challengers. Zeus finally wins the Triple Crown. Kitamura skips excursion and goes straight to winning a singles belt. And for two wild cards: Zero1 pops over 1k in Korakuen more than on...
