Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??

Sounds like Suzuki-Gun's finally getting that nuclear. Had to be something if the NOAH crowd of all crowds started pelting them with trash.

Re: Dragon Gate 2015!!!

Shachi's body is not equipped for a push. Plus by himself he's always been inconsistent. His match with Kagetora last June was sloppy largely because of him. He's best as a Triangle/Twin Gate type dude.

Re: Dragon Gate 2015!!!

Yeah. Shachi did that intense MiD BREATH diet in the summer of 2012 to transform his body so he could get noticed(it worked as he later joined WORLD 1INTERNATIONAL). Plus he and Kotoka always have a knack of picking up minor injuries. It's tragic but not surprising when it comes to Shachi.

Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??

Fair point. NOAH's in a really tough spot. The Kumano thing you mentioned is interesting. I would prefer him over Kitamiya turning. I like the idea of a young hoss babyface for NOAH, which is what Kitamiya is.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

To answer Larsosc's question, Ishii will be 40 come December. I do agree that he's probably peaked. His body has been through hell the last two years added with the fact that he's been wrestling since I was 1 years old(1996). He had spent all of his career minus the last two years on the undercard s...

Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??

Here's some food for thought. Who will betray NOAH for Suzuki-gun if it happens? This usually happens in these types of angles in Japan, one or two workers switch over to the invaders/betray the good guys. Yujiro jumped to the BC, Kenzo betrayed Go to form Dark Kingdom (lot of good that did) and Dr...

Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??

Nakajima will never get a reign unless he becomes a full time NOAH guy. Jamale(RealHero) told me that like a few months ago and he would know these types of things so I take that as credible. Even if he was to win, that wouldn't suggest business would increase. I'm a fan of his but like Rich said, N...

Re: Dragon Gate 2015!!!

Linda's by far the best promo. Him and Yosuke-chan. Everyone else in the Millienals are pretty bad(which multiple people on the DG roster tell them in front of everyone all the time)

Re: Damn you Samurai TV!

Dry spells do suck. The one in late 2012 wasn't fun as there was a lot of stuff we missed out across the board. It's still pretty cool that after all of that, we still got two good years of content after the drought. I remember the last one my bud Jamale wasn't as bummed about it as this one. Like R...

Re: Dragon Gate 2015!!!

The Doi comparison is a really good one Staoke. Doi's Ace Dream Gate run (Dec 08-March 10) was horrendous. Like Shingo, Do was also groomed for success(he and Yoshino literally formed the Twin Gate titles, Doi was the first ever Brave Gate champ, etc) the bulk of that occurred as a heel. I think the...

Re: Dragon Gate 2015!!!

Yes there's the term I always use for T-Hawk, Shingo-esque. With Shingo, despite being really good and being a badass, he doesn't have the personality to truly connect as well as the sense to adapt and evolve himself presentation wise. It's the reason he's the least popular of the Big 6. But like Al...

Re: Dragon Gate 2015!!!

So you see Big R as having "much more upside" than T-Hawk, the guy who is clearly being groomed to be the next ace? That's a bold statement. I personally feel Eita is the best wrestler out of the three but that's just personal preference, but upside wise I'm not sure where you're getting Big R as f...

Re: Dragon Gate 2015!!!

For what it's worth, Tanizaki's Brave Gate reign was sold(had a fun Brave match with Tozawa and then Tozawa and KAGE at GoD 09) AND T-Hawk's breakout in 2012 did happen because of Tanizaki's injury and then because of their feud. So Tanizaki is the one that helped T-Hawk initially break out.

Re: Dragon Gate 2015!!!

Til this day I tell everyone that's legit my favorite Dragon Gate match ever. So, so, so, good and it's one of the reasons I'm a big Tanizaki fan and it's another example of how great these guys are when they get a bit of a push. Night and day with a lot of these guys.

Re: Does Ryusuke Taguchi have go away heat?

Still my favorite junior(cue the looks.) But when I said that, this was years ago when he was really, really, really, really good. Which is unfortunately something that people forget because Taguchi's so into, well, whatever he does now. But the fact is he hasn't been the same since missing like nin...
