Re: Dragon Gate

KAI is an assistant to Tribe. So he's not an actual member. This is something DG used to do in the past, i.e. Nakajima was an assistant to Final M2K in 2005 or Scott Reed to MAD BLANKEY in late 2012.

Re: Best Non Wrestler

Just thought about Paige. She was good in her role. I don't think she tops the people I mentioned above, but still.

Re: Best Non Wrestler

Weird year as there isn't a clear cut favorite and I only think there's like four credible winners(I'm personally not voting for Heyman or Cuerto. Haven't soured on Heyman per say, but there's fresher candidates that I enjoy more this year. And I don't watch LU.). LOVE Stokley. He's awesome and coul...

Re: Best Flying Wrestler

There's a lot of great fliers(if someone voted for Ali, I would understand), but Bandido has so much high volume stuff this year everywhere he goes, he gets my vote. And he'll probably do well for me as far as Most Outstanding goes, too.

Re: Tag Team of the Year

UE gets my vote. MM and LAX definitely deserve some love, as does Fenix and Pentagon. Not many saw Dragon Gate this year, so I think the YAMATO/BxB Hulk team deserves a shout too. Another strong year for tag teams.

Re: Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic

Someone on Twitter mentioned that this award has never been more stacked with possible winners ever. Which is fucking crazy. Eve crazier that exploiting someone's battle with cancer is a clear second place to taking money from Saudi, even after the whole deal about them murdering the reporter.

Re: Most Improved

Buddy is a pretty good pick and he would be my choice. Liv and Lio Rush are interesting candidates. Kaito Ishida from DG has improved a lot too but yeah, Buddy would get my vote.

Re: Dragon Gate

Things are just really, really bad. Obviously not a shocking revelation but it's just not good. A lot of things have gone wrong, I think, since 2015. But that's another story. Basically, through a lot of their own doing, people not panning out, personal drama, this is what you get. 2009 was pretty ba...

Re: Dragon Gate

Definitely a loss. Takagi is one of the best and for a long time I was anti Takagi. Not that I hated him but felt even though he was a great wrestler, there was nothing else to him. The heel turn was everything that I ever wanted him to be and he's become the total package. Granted, in terms of popu...

Re: Dragon Gate

What happened today isn't a total surprise. If you remember, Big R slumped in the beginning of the year as Ben was rising. Ben challenged him on on it and Big said it was helpful. It's possible that he was going to turn on that March Koruaken where it was him and Ben Vs Kanda and Yoshida. At the sa...

Re: Dragon Gate

Something's gotta give with the Big R/Doi drama. Doi challenged for the Twin and insisted that Big R would be his teammate to squash their beef. Question is will it be Big R, Ben-K or both turning?

Re: Dragon Gate

Yeah that last Korakuen wasn't great from a crowd perspective. I just remember watching the show, noting how eerily quiet the crowd were. Jae's right. The split means things are going to be a bit harder to recover. Losing those four guys has turned out to be pretty severe. I think Yamamura in partic...

Re: G1 CLIMAX 28

Yeah I agree. I'm about 95% sure he wins Block A. Especially on the final night. That match with EVIL being semi main. Those two, even though they're on the cusp. are not headliners just yet so for those two to be in that position on the last night has to mean something.

Re: G1 CLIMAX 28

For the record, I picked Jay White to win A Block before the show Saturday. I had him losing to Ibushi, which honestly I still don't know why I picked Ibushi to win the entire thing. I think it's because I generally have no idea who's wining this thing and I had to pick someone and I assumed White w...
