Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Haven't watched much of the junior tournament but checking out the 2.25 finals, Sato vs Kotaro was pretty good. Who's this ringside guy in the glasses, trainee? Don't think I have seen him before

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Excited for Ebina to see what he can do. Yusuke has been tremendous so far but he's had a nice story going with his rivalry with Keiichi to help his growth. But still have plenty of faith in what Aoki and the boys have been teaching him.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Seen on twitter that Dylan James thanked All Japan and Land's End for bringing him back in to Japan, so gotta agree with Land's End being a satellite fed for AJPW. I'm all for it, especially some All Asia Heavy title matches. Toshiki Iwaki is a guy id love to see brought back as well from Land's End.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Very cool to see another gaijin in the mix, Bodom looks very technical with good strikes and kicks, and has some history working with NJPW talent on RevPro shows. Him vs Iwamoto should be a banger. Good looking Saitama show in my opinion, good hype for the carnival.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Yeah can't recall 100% exactly when he was hurt last year, June? July? and ACL knee injuries usually take 9-12 months, but him being in the back is a good sign.

I also agree with seeing a Zeus run with the All Asia Heavyweight strap at some point.

Do we see the return of Jake Lee on July 29 at the Edion Osaka show?

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Think I'm guessing a Shuji Kondo v Koji Iwamoto junior finals, Kondo win and challenge in Saitama or Korakuen, he did beat Aoki in round robin action already too I suppose also.

Well, nevermind, I'm gonna go all in on Iwamoto, back to back!

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

The 4.25 show I can see Zeus, Suwama and Marufuji all needing to win that night to win Block B, then the 4.29 show looks like Ishikawa, Takagi, Doering, Miyahara and Hino all needing a win to win Block A, with Ishikawa facing Takagi and Miyahara facing Hino. Miyahara vs Marufuji seems most likely to...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

With that Carnival lineup and the announcement of live shows, that's a pretty great start for people to dive into AJPW watching those CC singles matches.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Really hoping they can pop a big number in Saitama with Joe v Kento in March. Maybe this Kashin/Fujita tag match against Suwama and friends will bring a few more butts in. I'm kind of thinking Zeus & Bodyguard win the belts at the end of February from YoshiKen so they can have a title match in Saita...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Very interesting news and developments coming out of Yokohama. Carnival lineup looks awesome, I'm all for giving Dylan James a shot to become a regular guy, hes a big big gaijin who could team up with Joe Doering very nicely. Streaming service is very cool albeit expected, everyone else has one. I a...

Bigass tour and names indeed. Can't wait! BoG looks awesome too, hoping Kondo impresses and Yusuke can finally pin Keiichi.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Id be ok with Sai and Nomura winning the All Asia belts, but I think they go with Nagata and Akiyama, and if Nagata can show up more often then I say go for it. Lee and Aoyagi both out for the carnival (assuming both) definitely hurts. I see a Nomura push or maybe at least a win against whoever is c...

That's a good call too, Yoshiken lose tag title shot, as I see Suwama and Shuji having a pretty good run here. Kento challenging for a pretty good sized arena in March makes sense.
