Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

idk what the rest of the world says...Ibushi v. Jay White was five stars. That shit was fucking incredible. Flawless. Work. Story. Commentary. Crowd. THIS IS THE GRADE ONE CLIMAX BABY. LETS GO. FIGHT ME IF YOU DISAGREE. The look of joy on KENTA's face when he got his face kicked in on the corner dro...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Random Thoughts through both Block Finals. Top 5 matches from the Tournament Shingo Takagi v. Tomohiro Ishii Shingo Takagi v. Tetsuya Naito Kazuchika Okada v. Will Ospraey Tomohiro Ishii v. Jon Moxley Kota Ibushi v. Will Ospraey Seems pretty stock, to be honest. **I want to start off with JON MOXLEY...

Seth Rollins is "a good hand."

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

That Okada-Ospraey match was outstanding. Okada is so good when his matches are set around "just another day at the office" that escalates out of control in the third stage of the match. This match was worked nearly flawlessly. Loved the story told. My only gripe is that I never, for one second, bou...

If this tournament has taught us one thing it’s Evil> Sanada. When your have average matches with Ibushi you know something isn’t clicking
There will come a time when we talk about EVIL in the same way we talk about Tomohiro Ishii as one of the best in the world.

Re: Official WWE Thread

Overall, Extreme Rules was one of the most consistent and good shows WWE main roster has put out this year. The WWE Title match was really my only disappointment as they either have no chemistry together or one or both took the night off. I've seen Joe put out stinkers in big spots before, so I'm m...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Night 4 was not for me. Felt like some shit you'd see on Night 10 in front of a hard cam. That includes Jay White v. Tomohiro Ishii...I just don't think I am a Jay White guy. I expect a certain quality of in-ring performer at the top of the card in NJPW. I expect main eventers to DELIVER and I feel ...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

They really REMADE a star in KENTA in two matches. You can not convince me that Joe Lanza is not fantasy booking this shit. His promos are fantastic, too. He has a motivation to his character that is really incredible...relatable. Chris Charlton is in God Mode right now, btw. Best color commen...

Re: Evolve (WWNLive)

Evolve 131 was nothing short of a success and dare I say one of their best shows ever. It felt special. I thought the Indie talent on the show really stepped up and showed out. I thought the NXT talent that showed up also showed out. Awesome. Wrestling is really fun right now.

Re: Official WWE Thread

I thought Extreme Rulezzz was pretty good until the main events. Undertaker/Roman Reigns v. Shane McMahon/Drew McIntyre - if I said this match was over four stars, would anyone believe me? idk, but I thought it was. Work was really good and The Undertaker looked incredible all things considered. Rev...

Re: Official All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Thread

This company is just giving me what I want. Simple stories. Good in-ring action. Nothing feels really high stakes yet either, which I've said many times...that is what I like from my casual wrestling television. I might be on an island here, but I really loved the main event from Fight for the Falle...

Sorry pals...cashed in the Nets take and I've now won. Celtics blew the Nets trade. All those picks and they get...Jayson Tatum. cool. The lesson to be learned here, brothers...when the takes hit, they hit...and they don't always reveal themselves right away. Put that take in the cellar and let it a...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Ospraey v. Archer was pretty great. Seeing it a little overrated by the GenPop, but it was excellent. Dug the story. Execution was on point. The right winner. ****1/4+ EVIL v. Fale - meh. Fale was working a little harder than last year. Zack Sabre Jr. v. SANADA - solid. **** Ibushi v. KENTA - I like...

@Lanza

When you spoke about Kofi and Seth not drawing and being flops...why u no mention Becky Lynch?

Word for word, what you said about Kofi, could apply to Becky.

Re: VOW Flagship: Bischoff/Heyman, Fyter Fest, Stomping Grounds & more!

Lacey Evans is just another PC baby that was called up way too early. She was just starting to come around in NXT. Started looking something like functional bell-to-bell. Clearly didn't have any direction on TV and was getting passed up, but was getting visually better in the limited TV matches she...
