Re: Dragon Gate

Before the network came about, I only saw brief matches from DG but I'm very impressed and loving it so far, especially Saito's Young Lion gimmick, had be broken. On a serious note, the in ring action and production seriously rivals my #1 of NJPW. Recent shows have been good to very good with the e...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Does anyone know on what Togi Makabe's role in the company is currently? Ever since Honma went down, he's done literally nothing this past year. Without having a psychic connection to either Makabe himself or Gedo, I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you what Makabe's role in the company is? But th...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

So this just kind of quietly slipped out there. Jay White joins CHAOS, says he's only joining to chase after Bullet Club, doesn't seem like a long term thing. If it's really only a short term thing then that's fine. The most disappointing thing about NYD was the complete lack of change to any of th...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

I'm going to sound crazy but I got this feeling that Okada is going to be beat by Sanada. Okada got lucky to beat Naito. Naito got cocky and that was his undoing but I felt Naito was way more dominate in that match towards the end. Okada looked worn down from defending the title for a year and a ha...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

So do you guys think with what happened with Jay basically confirms the long term plan for Tanahashi was a Shibata match at the dome to rekindle their feud from a few years ago? It's hard imagining this was the original plan for Jay to re-debut, either that or they weren't happy with the reactions h...

Re: wXw - Germany's biggest promotion

I was thinking of going to Oberhausen for the 16 Carat this year. Anyone got tips or advice for attending these shows? I've never been to Germany before.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Gonna be interesting to see the names announced for the Carnival, with no Jake Lee or Kengo Mashimo being able to participate (at least I think Mashimo will still be out). Last Year: Ishikawa, Hashimoto, Sekimoto, Lee, Doering, KAI, Mashimo, Nomura, Miyahara, Sai, Suwama, Omori, Bodyguard & Zeus, w...

Re: VOW Subscriber Tier is LIVE - Discussion thread

5 bucks seems like the sweet spot to me. If it was any more I would have serious hesitations. I support a couple other patreons and I'm a poor college student, so that would probably be my limit. I sincerely hope this works out for you guys.

Re: 2017 End of the Year Pro Wrestling Positivity Thread

Most of the positive stuff that has happened this year was outside of wrestling. My viewing habits didn't really change all that much. Although this was the year I really got into Jiro. I didn't really get what little I saw of him last year, but after watching a few Wrestle-1 events over the summer ...

Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??

Apparently Ratels is NOAH's biggest merchandise seller. With Kenoh being the best selling singles act but still behind the junior faction. Weird but fun data according to a twitter account that documents the goings ons in NOAH Interesting. Is this data from before or after Kenoh's Global League win?

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

Ch.59 was decent considering the circumstances. Aussie Open vs Grizzled Young Vets was really, really good. Never thought I would be someone to complain about this, but does anyone else think their are just too many kickouts in PROGRESS? Seems like they are just setting out to have good matches rat...

Re: VOW Subscriber Tier - Tell Us What You Want

Reviews of classic shows and the return of Lanza Unfiltered. That's all I can really think of. I know you guys aren't going to do it but I would be willing to pay for the flagship, you guys do great work.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

3. Young Lion Cup: Katsuya Kitamura vs. Hirai Kawato (Late contender for MOTY, for sure) Yes, I am really looking forward to this. I already made my top 10 but to salvage the situation, if this does end up being an awesome match, I'll just make a different top ten of my favorite Hirai Kawato matche...
