Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

In a change to Sunday's card, Chris Brookes is now challenging Travis Banks for the PROGRESS World Championship, on the basis of his recent singles record. Chris Ridgeway will have a new opponent. Wonder what the original plan was for Trav I'm most excited for the Ospreay match. I love to see new m...

Re: Pro Wrestling EVE

Are they waiting for She-1 to be over before they put the York Hall tickets on sale? It was meant to be November 1st. I'm interested to see what the pricing is.

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

Re: WWE Cuts 2017

Have they ever fired anyone on a sunday before? Vince might be stalking the corridoors of Titan Towers in a nude fashion on a weekend, but the HR department and all the rest won't be there.

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

Just wanted to say that Joseph Conners made his surprise debut appearance at today's show (ch. 56) to literally no reaction. And personally I am not interested at all in him becoming a thing in progress but there we go. I've seen him a lot, but he impressed me most on a WWE house show last spring. ...

Re: WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)/Defiant Wrestling Thread

WCPW/Defiant have announced their first foray into Birmingham, on 5th December at the Academy. It's PROGRESS' venue when they're here, although ICW were the first to run both the main room and smaller Academy 2 three times prior. It's a good venue, and it'll be interesting to see what business it do...

Re: Revolution Pro Wrestling

Rev Pro are debuting in Leamington on sunday. I'm going, hoping for a nice hot crowd, although it's a big question of how well it will draw. Coming off 2 shows over the last 2 sundays, matches were mostly (and still are) unnannounced* for storyline reasons, so it's the company name that is selling t...

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

It was an enjoyable show, but a lot of what makes PROGRESS is lost when you scale the crowd up. The Wembley announcement was super exciting, but I'm already worrying about it. WWE are helping out, but why wouldn't they want that dosh for themselves? Will there be a Takeover the night before? They're...

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

We've got the full card now. There'll be a preshow match or two, probably to get your Chuck Mambos and that on the bill. Hang about, what the hell has happened to Pastor William Eaver? Has he been seen since the marathon appearence? I expect a surprise match during the show like Dobby had at Brixton...

Re: PROGRESS Thread: The Fake Taxi of Wrestling

The Zack Sabre Jr open challenge is interesting. Given that Havoc came back this time last year, and we've already had unannounced appearances/matches by Finn Balor/Aleister Black this year, one would expect something that really rocks the building on the biggest PROGRESS show of the year. But the p...

Re: WWE NXT 2017 (A-show schedule in OP)

I think it's mis-direction for an angle. Bring in loads of them, and promote it, and have one do an angle with someone ready to come up. (my heart says Neville vs Dunne, but my mind says Aleister Black is debuting on the main roster soon) Could be an excuse to have all 4 horsewomen in the one place ...

Re: Revolution Pro Wrestling

It doesn't make sense for the younger, slimmer, prettier Kyle to be even a bit of a heel in that match. The current trend in britwres (maybe beyond? I have no idea, I don't follow american indies) for Dream Matches and exhibition matches is already wearing people out. Hopefully it will lead to the n...

Re: Revolution Pro Wrestling

I appreciate the write-up suplexberry. Having Ausie Open debut against each other is a mis-step. Did they even establish a heel and a face in the match? I've seen Cara Noir exactly once and thought he was great. He works stiff and carries himself like a tough guy, but wears 20 denier tights and rubs...

Re: WWE NXT 2017 (A-show schedule in OP)

Angelo Dawkins finally found something to do...with a guy that outshines him the moment they step out from the curtain. Angelo Dawkins is Montez Ford's most swagless homie. Also, is Danny Burch signed to NXT again? Mauro clearly said "two NXT superstars" and I don't think they're gonna have an unsi...
