Re: G1 CLIMAX 28

I'm glad I waited to finalize my bracket until after the Cow Palace show. For guys like Tama and White, the number of points they get doesn't matter too much. The big wins they get will matter much more. If they finish in the middle of the road with 8 points, as long as they have a few big wins (hi ...

Re: G1 CLIMAX 28

B Block is so stacked with main eventers, it's going to be very believable for anyone to get a win over anyone else. I have the B Block winner with 12 points, and four other guys at 10-11 points. A Block could have a bigger swing because you have more bottom feeders and the two new guys, who will ma...

Re: VOW Flagship: Okada/Tanahashi, Backlash, State of ROH & more!

This Okada/Tana match getting 5.5 stars is like Return of the King winning Best Picture at the Oscars. I think everyone understands that RotK was not the best of the trilogy, but that the award is being given for the whole series. And while it might look a little funny in a list of Oscar winners, I ...

Re: Wrestlemania-The Matches, The Memories (VI-X)

Warrior/Hogan is a 3 star match with a 5 star crowd. It's crazy how loud the crowd is for the entire match. The atmosphere is just incredible, and really elevates the match to something really special.

Warrior/Savage and Warrior/Hogan are honestly two of my favorite WrestleMania matches.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Are we not counting the Tiger Mask W match from last year Non-title match, that one. He said the last match between Ibushi and Okada and that was non title match. So technically I wasn’t wrong Tiger Mask W was never unmasked. Could be Cheeseburger under that hood for all we know. In all seriousness...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Tanahashi has to get one of the next two title shots. So he could win the cup, beating a SZG guy each round, and challenge Okada for his record-tying 10th defense. I much prefer Tanahashi challenging at Dominion as Okada tried to break the record. And the Cup is made for upsets. Tana/Taichi screams ...

Re: 205 Live Thread

Ali/Gallagher was my favorite match of the new 205 Live so far. ****1/4.

Buddy Murphy had a cool finisher, but needs to do something with his face and hair so he doesn't look like Curt Hawkins.

Re: WWE Workrate Power Rankings Vote #1

Gargano is an easy #1 for me. Not only because of the classic match against Almas, but the matches with Ohno, the 4 way, and against Dream were all really good too.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

I've always thought that money was the only reason the Bullet Club stayed together in such a large, unorganized group. With Omega, Cody, Marty, the Bucks, even Hangman having their own shirts now, how much money is a guy like Bad Luck Fale even getting from being Bullet Club anymore? Tama Tonga shir...

Re: WWE NXT 2018 (A-show schedule in OP)

Gotta give some love to that opening tag match. Smart match with great selling with a fantastic ending. But holy shit that main event. I love how they started off with all the counters. Those can look crappy when the timing is off, especially strike dodges, but these guys were on point. I'm a sucker...

Re: 205 Live Thread

Needs to be a complete overhaul of the show. Reset everything, run a 16 person mini CWC to crown a new champion. What they are doing isn't working. If no one is watching, they might as well be putting on some good matches.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Some late WK/Naito thoughts: I think this was the best shot for Okada to lose at the Dome. The fact that Okada won makes me think he's going to keep winning WK shows until a new Ace comes along. I don't believe they are going to do a redemption story for Naito. One, they already did that story with ...
