Re: VOW Flagship: NOAH Great Voyage, Tanahashi vs Omega WOTY, Gedo & Jado, Thursday TV Reviews

Joe, you've didn't mention Tanahashi-Ibushi match, when you talked about matches that had moty buzz. It literally finished 2nd in super j cast,shu-pro(japanese awards) and Tokyo Sports awards and 5th in post wrestling awards. It was also before the 2nd biggest crowd of the year, but I'm not going to...

Re: VOW Flagship: Dominion Review, Okada/Omega, MITB, NXT & more!

I'll cop to some hyperbole from time to time. You try to avoid it but it's impossible when you're shooting from the hip sometimes. With that said, tbf, if there were people ranking your comparison point, Shots Umino, in the Top 50 wrestlers in the world for 2017, I'd call him overrated just the sam...

Re: VOW Flagship: Superstar Shakeup, Andre doc, WrestleMania & more!

Just finished the flagship I gotta say that after listening to Wrestlemania preview and this show, the way Rich sometimes adapts to his guest is kind of.. . strange. I'm saying that because Joe & Rich always bury WWE replica belt guys and Jon came off like ultimate wwe replica belt guy. Sometimes it...

Re: WrestleMania 34 Weekend (New Orleans, LA)

So I'm almost finished with Mania weekend and I gotta say that this might be the best mania weekend ever or at least I can't come up with a better one (although the Dallas one is really close). I saw EVOLVE 102,103, WWN Supershow, RevPro, Crash, Wrestlemania, Takeover, a few matches from Supercard o...

It's funny that you actually laughed at Dan Moloney and didn't believe that he was real given that he even apppeared in the WWE UK tournament as one of those guys that nobody knew. Aside from that, fun as always.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

OMG what a freaking main event! The crowd was going nuts when Kenny & Kota were entering the ring and they booed the hell out of Cody. This match was so awesome. Everybody played their role to perfection with Cody being the scumbag heel, Page being his stooge, Marty not being sure what he's supposed...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

A few interesting notes from the latest observer: -New Japan Australia tour is running 4 shows and expect 3,000 to 4,000 paid each night without Naito or Omega announced, which to me sounds absolutely crazy if they will do more than 1,000 paid each night I would call it success, but they have bigger...

Re: 2017 Match Of The Year Tracking Thread

I recently watched Sabre Jr vs Thatcher match from February. I'm not sure I have seen a single more emotional match this year(Dunne vs Bate from January seems like the closest, but it's not even close). The workrate might not have been 5*, but man just listening to this crowd.... It's unbelievable. ...

Re: Most Outstanding

So I counted all the 4*+ matches that I rated this year and as of right now my top 3 might end up being Ospreay, ZSJ & Elgin (I want to catch up with AAW, ROH, PWG, DG, AJPW and maybe some EVOLVE before the end of the year, I already gave up on watching Progress or wXw this year)and I loved almost a...

Is it already known who is going to be Rocky's partner? And if not it's gotta be Chuck right?

Re: ThROH The Years: A ROH retrospective podcast (Episode 12 Up!)

So I listened to your newest show and I've got a few things to point out: 1) Not every listener of your shows has a podcast or is involved in indy wrestling and I am an example of it. 2) The reason why Indy shows felt cooler in 2000s than 2010s is probably the same reason either You or Matt pointed ...

Re: 2000 in NOAH

2000 in NOAH is probably a big blind spot for many people, because there isn't much stuff that you can watch, but from what I watched I think that you really missed on Takao Omori, who I'm a big a fan of. I really didn't expect him to be as over as he was (but it's probably because I didn't watch th...

Kota Ibushi

Kota was a part of 3 Junior tag league tournaments during which he had this famous match with him & Fuji vs Kenta & Ishimori. Outside of that he also did a few shows, but none of his matches really mattered anything. Similar to Miyahara I think this probably going to be more of a what if thread sinc...

Kento Miyahara

For those who don't remember, Kento was a part of Noah for 5 years. He took part in a few tournaments, where he probably had a few good matches. Since he didn't have tremendous run, this is probably going to be a more of a what if thread than anything.
