Re: Yoshinobu Kanemaru

The Randy Orton of NOAH's junior division. Always there, always pushed, undoubtedly had his share of good matches and even performances, had some periods where he was motivated, but most of the time just there, not being as interesting as those surrounding him.

Re: Maybach Taniguchi (マイバッハ谷口

He had some really good stuff in a period from about 2009-2011 (I particularly enjoyed his series of matches vs Go Shiozaki) but gimmicking him and turning him into KENTA's muscle ruined his, ahem....workrate and also any chances of him ever getting a proper push beyond "perennial monster title chal...

Re: Atsushi Aoki

I'll revisit him if anyone has good recs but outside of a match or two (which were all against KENTA) I remember him as perpetually disappointing, more like NOAH's Lance Storm than Joe Malenko.

The eternal dweeb, kinda like NOAH's Takeshita without the big push and the steroids. He had an awesome STF variation and I quite liked him as a youngster doing the five things he was allowed to right, unfortunately he didn't really grow into into anything once that phase was over.

Came in a little too late to have any classic singles matches (though him beating up on youngins is great fun-the KENTA squash in particular is breathtaking) but always brought a special energy to tags and delivered strongly in that format.

Figured the current GHC Heavyweight Champion deserved a thread. Don't really have much to say on him, I remember really enjoying his junior title match vs Kotaro Suzuki and I always though he was better than Davey. We'll see how he'll perform with the spotlight on.

The Kobashi Dome/ Gobashi tag 1-2 punch would probably be enough to include him on some lists but his 2008-2013 run really cements his position. He had a formula in as much he had an asskicking character that performed consistently and produced many high end matches. I think his run is akin to Takay...

My favourite comedy wrestler of all time. His face is funny. Probably my #50 but I could always have an epiphany and decide to rank him irrationally high.

As weird as it may seem for a long time he was NOAH's most prominent foreigner. Someone worth thinking about-obviously the first thing that comes to mind when you're looking for recommendations for this project is "did he challenge Kobashi" and he did and I remember it being quite good, and I rememb...
