Re: No.2 promotion in Japan

DG will likely be most people's default answer to this question for years to come because most people don't pay attention, but I think there is definitely a case to be made for DDT now for the reasons mentioned above. If you only look at raw attendance numbers DG is probably ahead (although their fa...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

There's no way they're putting two outsiders in the CC final.

Another one of the new trainees is Yuma Aoyagi's younger brother.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

All the evidence says to me that Kento wins the belt tomorrow and Marufuji wins the carnival. Probably a Joe vs. Marufuji final.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

If Kondo was winning he wouldn't have beaten Aoki in the blocks (wouldn't have been in the same block as him). AJPW booking is pretty predictable when it comes to guys getting their wins back.

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

The fact that he's only worked 6 dates for them this year isn't evidence of that?

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

I'm curious if the All Asia Heavyweight title is eventually intended to become a midcard singles title for AJPW or if they just brought it back as a favour to Sai for whatever reason. He must do a lot for them because they booked a ton of his trainees on the Saitama show too. I assume he was respons...

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

Looking at the lineups a Kento vs. Marufuji final seems likely.

Yes. He could potentially make the semi-main for AJPW if he's booked very early on the DDT show, but I don't know how likely that is...

I thought the opening night was pretty bad with the exception of the top two matches. Just a completely dead crowd unfortunately.
