Re: Sweet Sixteen - [8] Asuka vs [5] Finn Bálor

So many of these have been so close. For me, even though a bunch of MY guys haven't advanced, the right people are here with the voting getting closer and closer. Not commenting because for at least 3 if not 5 of these my opinion could change any given day. I think I voted Monday, truly think I forg...

Re: Round 2 (Flair): [5] Finn Bálor vs [4] Dean Ambrose

It looks I missed the boat on this one. I enjoy both a great deal, and they're a fitting 4-5 match-up. That being said, Ambrose is just a better overall package. Not many agree. Haha I wouldn't worry. A solid 1/4 of the people I have voted for have wound up losers. I still placed my votes with pride.

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Noticed that the dates for this year's Best of the Super Juniors have been announced: 14 events in all running from May 21st to June 7th- I'm guessing with that length of schedule, that we are once again going to see the alternating Blocks format NJPW implemented for their round robin tournament's ...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

I'd have to talk to someone who understands the Japanese fanbase, but is there a possibility that a lot of Nakamura fans have or will turn to Naito? Naito has only really been getting positive crowd reactions since Nakamura left, and there is the same edge to his character that separates him from g...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

Sometimes or most times a banner is just a banner. I just noticed on the Invasion attack banner Okada, Omega, and Shibata are all alone on the right hand side and Tanahashi is with other stars on the left hand side. In the spirit of making too much of a simple darn banner, thoughts if new Japan is m...

Re: Strong Style Spirit - New Japan catch all thread

I just realized one thing with Tenzan vs Shibata being the Invasion match. Does that mean the Kojima vs Shibata match is lost in the ether not to be seen?

Re: Round 2 (Fujinami): [1] Kazuchika Okada vs [8] Tetsuya Naito

Voted Okada rather easily. That said with Naito's gimmick maybe being my favorite thing in the world this past year was hoping others would pick up my slack. Yes Okada should take this all IMO.

Re: Round 2 (Danielson): [6] Adam Cole vs [3] Roderick Strong

Odd, for me round two is of course more even but easier to pick. The real head scratchers happened for me in round 1. I'm in the minority there though I know.

Re: Round 2 (Flair): [7] Bayley vs [2] Brock Lesnar

I just hope that if this match does happen, they have this big stare down. Lesnar accept the power of the hug. Walks out and gets counted out. That would make this encounter the best thing ever.

Re: Round 2 (Flair): [6] Sami Zayn vs [3] Kevin Owens

Get of place to ask this as any... I've heard he's been killing It at the house shows so I'm not that worried.... But has Sami had a "best match of the night" match televised since he's been back. Not counting when he was the only match on the show? Just a little worried this injury might have taken...

People complain rightly about Cage vs that one girl on LU. This.....this..... I cringe.

Re: Round 2 (Pillman): [16] Jay White vs [8] Jay Briscoe

Dead even too.

I voted Mr. White just to thank him for getting rid of the other guy. Really though putting each man vs random competition, I'm not sure whose matches I'd love to see more. But face it, Jay vs Jay was meant to be.

Re: Let's bury the World Wrestling Federation....

On the topic of the battle royale 1) They've had 20 man battle royales before, even if it's advertised for 30 cutting it down to 20 wouldn't be the worst change of card travesty WWE has committed (this is the rip on the WWE thread) 2) I agree that the most probable winner, Strowman, shouldn't even b...
