Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??
Well, based on what I watched (all the title matches) the in-ring action easily overcame this fact. Great show.
Yes, even the interference weren't there that resulted into the automatic finish of the match. The run ins were thwarted and heels ended up beating the NOAH geeks as fair ...

Re: The Joe Lanza Is Right Wrestling Is Pretty Awesome Thread

As a "old timey" wrestling fan from the early 80's, I truly miss the storytelling and some of the great, long series of matches you use to see. The drama of the Steamboat/Youngblood vs. Slaughter/Kernodle series was incredible and there really hasn't been anything like that since. The 2 year plus f...

Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??

Was kinda hoping Nakajima would be the one to unseat Sugiura's current reign down the line but apparently them rushing him to be the next challenger seems all but confirmed SHiozaki would finally be the one to reclaim the gold back. Maybe next time Nakajima....

Re: [GREAT VOYAGE IN 2016 IN YOKOHAMA] 横浜決戦直前

It's really awesome that they put extended highlights of 10-20 minutes up of every show. But they don't do that for any shows that airs on TV. It's all house show highlights. As they should. Highlights of houseshow where besides the 100+ in attendance no one else would have the opportunity to see i...

Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??

All in favor of the old guards returning (Kotaro and Kanemaru). Lord knows NOAH needs all the star power from every single talent from the heyday and this further adds depth to their already quite talented Jrs Division. I always wondered "Damn if only the Burning guys didnt leave for AJPW and would ...

Re: NOAH - Who is NOAH's savior??

Very mixed opinion of Destiny, borderline meh for me. For one alot of it are rematches. If you look at all the 4 title matches, the challengers have all at one point or another challenged and fail this year. Of course the NOAH roster is paper thin and half of it are aging stars so it's not like they...

Re: NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10 Card

I wonder back in the day when NOAH and ROH had a working relation did people complain or get irritated at the slightest about ROH talents working in Budokan shows?

Re: King's Road - The All Japan Thread

1/2 defintely the better card, but its to be expected when companies run back to back days at the same venue. No doubt 1/2 would draw more with that lineup, but it would be interesting to see just how much more of an increase AJPW would do because New Years season always sees an increase interest acr...

Re: The JOSHI thread

The best comparison Io is the Misawa ,the definite ace, to Hojo's Kobashi. Io has all the athletic ability in the world to pull out some crazy looking shit, similar to a younger Misawa when he was and lighter and doing more aerial offense coming off from his TM days. Hojo, like Kobashi, while not th...

Re: The JOSHI thread

So I've watched pretty much every Joshi promotion that gets uploaded, the one thing I can commend Io and Hojo and what makes them absolute ace standouts material amongst the crop is how they wrestle and layout their matches like a traditional big time epic match like their male counterparts. The sel...

Re: K-Dojo - The thread of boredom

Whenever they have shows at the Blue Chiba Field (which mostly it is) it sucks the life out of me because the crowd are deader than dead and worse than NOAH's. But aside from shows that they run at THAT buidling, most of the shows I've seen this year have been decent - good from what you can get out...

Re: Wrestle-1 thread

Another lesser talked about point about this promotion: They have a steady stream of young girl fans in attendance (not yet DDT & DG levels but its there) which I guess will be a underrated point to their success in the long run as they have a couple of hunks(lack of a better word) on their roster a...
