Re: Australian Indy Wrestling - Home of TMDK

Anyone check out WSW in Melbourne this weekend? I found night one a little disappointing. One of my main gripes with WSW is the interchangeable roster. It typically means there is no build for any of the matches and because we have international stars, everyone gets cheered (except Austin Aries) wh...

Re: Australian Indy Wrestling - Home of TMDK

The other thing about PWA is they have Mick Moretti, who has been on fucking fire this year. Saw the match he had with Tommy Knight at last week's PWA show, incredible contrast of styles, and he really helped Knight get over. That show is really good, from a hot opener with Robbie Eagles and Michae...

Re: VOW Flagship: Dominion, KENTA, Dragon Gate & more!

The tag team on the Australian shows are the Filip Brothers(Tome and Stevie). They are the new MCW tag champs. They have been been tearing it up in MCW, in particular Stevie. They trained at the Fale dojo, and I believe will be training at the NJPW proper soon. Mick Moretti is probally one of my top...

Re: Australian Indy Wrestling - Home of TMDK

Finally finished the latest MCW Thornbury show; thought it was their weakest of the year (and mostly not because of the radio newsreader in the main event)! Almost tempted to write a review just to prove that I'm not a MCW shill. Just didn't think most of the matches delivered and there wasn't anyt...

Re: PWG (Pro Wrestling Guerilla)

Last night's show was fucking incredible, especially the first half. The two best matches were Cobb vs Gresham and Tony Deppen vs Trey Miguel. Gresham's last two PWG matches have been great, and if Bandido wasn't the favorite to win BOLA it would be Gresham at this point. Deppen and Orange Cassidy b...

Re: Australian Indy Wrestling - Home of TMDK

PWA has Davis Storm vs Caveman Ugg, Millie McKenzie vs Jessica Troy(who is killing it this year), Slex and Mikey Broderick vs Mick Moretti and Jack Bonza booked for the next show. If those fail to deliver I will be shocked.

Re: Australian Indy Wrestling - Home of TMDK

I gotta say, the match quality this year is WAY down from last year. Last year the high quality matches were mostly Ospreay matches, and the Progress tour. This year there are no imports for the most part. If you compare the top matches without international talent from last year to the top matches ...

Re: King of Indies 2019

Great tournament last year and really strong showing from a stacked lineup. Announcing Atlas & Gresham first is a great start for APW/PWR, there is so much great, young talent in the North Bay right now and I would love to see some more additions from the Santino crew. Bummed I had to miss the APW ...

Re: Australian Indy Wrestling - Home of TMDK

Hot take: Shazza McKenzie sucks. I just watched Shazza/Robbie vs Jack Bonza/Jessica Troy from PWA Wahlberg Vs Ugg, really fun match, but every time Shazza is in the match everyone has to slow down so she could keep up. It's like she wrestles in slow motion. Her match with Tyler Payne was even more e...
