Re: Ring of Honor (Discussion)

Same! Last few years I've been sleep walking on ROH. But the Marty news plus the relationship repairing now has me intrigued.

Re: Dragon Gate (Discussion)

Watch Ishida Vs Susumu. I thought Gate of Destiny was a good show but man, that Brave Gate match was incredible. Ishida has grown so much in a span of a year that this win feels much deserved. and as always, Susumu was the perfect opponent. Mochizuki is one of those guys where he can get the best po...

Re: Dragon Gate (Discussion)

The Korakuen show from yesterday was awesome. Ben Vs Mochi is a must watch. Might be a prisoner of the moment but I think this match was better than their match last and I LOVED that one. Mochi is almost 50 and he's still easily one of the best wrestlers in the world. This isn't groundbreaking by my...

Re: Dragon Gate (Discussion)

Yeah this wasn't a hyped Korauken. I definitely felt that during the Brave Gate match. Towards the end I think they got into it but took it kinda hurt the match a bit. Everyone knows I'm a big Maria fan and while I thought she was somewhat sloppy, she continues to deliver when put in a big spot. I l...

Re: Dragon Gate

I said it on Twitter but Ishida/YAMATO was GREAT. Ishida has become one of my favorites this year. His striking (his kicks are lethal but I was surprised by how loud his chops were for some reason). When he gets to kick someone, it just sounds like a gun shot. I can't wait til him and Okuda brawl at...

Re: Dragon Gate

I was thinking about this the other day. I always think about the first two August Korakuens from 2013. I group those two shows together. But it's the first two shows after the new generation takeover. First show has a cool six man tag featuring The newly We Are Team Veterans, a HOT Kotoka vs Mochi ...

Re: VOW Flagship: Dominion, KENTA, Dragon Gate & more!

I figure PAC is retaining in Kobe because otherwise the story that AEW won't book him because they don't know when he can start doing jobs doesn't make a lot of sense. Supposedly he was going over at DON, and if he drops the Dream Gate belt in Kobe he would've been able to put Kenny over at All Out...

Re: Dragon Gate

Never thought I would ever see Ultimo in a DG ring while CIMA is gone. 2019, y'all. Anywho, I LOVED Ben-K vs Kzy. I was thinking about this after the match but I don't think there's been one time that Ben has failed to deliver in a big spot. That's super impressive considering he's only been wrestli...

Re: VOW Flagship: AEW TV, Magee/Hart, BOSJ, Dontaku, Dragon Gate & more!

It started off as Eita and Big Ben, but once Big R won the spot in the cage, the unit was split down the middle. Team Eita(Eita/PAC/KAZMA/Kanda) and Team Big R(Big R/Ben/Yoshida.) Obviously, at the end of the day, everyone was conspiring to kick out Ben so the main message was put across ha

That's a great point. Nothing to add but that's just neatly put.

Re: Dragon Gate

This years Dead or Alive cage match seems pretty convoluted. I like the general idea behind it, but I'm not big on the execution. So the only risk involved is for any of the currently cohesive units, because they may be forced to lose a valued member. But say if Eita, for example is in the match, w...

Re: Lets Talk About (Part 1)

One of the best at being an underdog in a match. That and he's pretty crazy with the type of bumps and just general things he does in the ring. Of course, you worry that one day that might bite him, but people like him and Hiromu, if they weren't as reckless as they are, it would lessen their appeal...

Re: VOW Flagship: AEW, Jay White, PAC vs. Kzy, EVOLVE & more!

For what it's worth Joe, Eita is the leader of R.E.D. Funny enough at the last Korakuen when the For Way Tag Team Tag Match ad he chose not to include Big R and Ben-K on the team and Big R asked him why. Eita basically told him that he was the leader of R.E.D, not him. Which is kinda funny since he ...
